Abstract
The Cilegon City Transportation Service has the authority to regulate the Public Transport Eligibility Policy. This is stated in the Cilegon City Regional Regulation Number 10 of 2001 concerning Motor Vehicle Testing "that in an effort to support traffic and road transport safety as well as environmental sustainability, it is necessary to regulate the inspection of the technical condition of motor vehicles to meet roadworthy engineering requirements.” In this research with the title Evaluation of the Implementation of Public Transport Eligibility Policy in Cilegon City. This research aims to find out how to Evaluation of the Implementation of Public Transport Eligibility Policy in Cilegon City using William N. Dunn's policy evaluation theory. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature with data collection in the form of observations, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this research show that the evaluation of the public transport suitability policy in Cilegon City is quite optimal, however, there are problems that hinder the process of implementing the public transport suitability policy, such as drivers of city transport vehicles or angkot who do not carry out vehicle testing as a requirement for motor vehicles to be fit for operation. as a vehicle for transporting people and goods, causing many public transportations to be unfit but still operating on the roads. The suggestion is that the Cilegon City Transportation Department must be able to take firm action against vehicles that do not carry out vehicle testing so that traffic and road transport safety support is met.

Dalam penelitian ini dengan judul Evaluasi Implementasi Kebijakan Kelaikan Angkutan Umum DiKota Cilegon. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Evaluasi Implementasi Kebijakan Kelaikan Angkutan Umum DiKota Cilegon dengan menggunakan teori Evaluasi Kebijakan William N. Dunn. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan Bahwa Evaluasi Kebijakan Kelaikan Angkutan Umum Di Kota Cilegon sudah cukup optimal namun, terdapat permasalahan yang menghambat jalannya proses implementasi kebijakan kelaikan angkutan umum, seperti supir kendaraan angkutan Kota atau angkot yang tidak melakukan pengujian kendaraan sebagai syarat laik kendaraan bermotor agar dapat beroperasi sebagai kendaraan pengangkut manusia dan barang, sehingga menyebabkan banyak angkot yang tidak laik tetapi masih beroperasi dijalanan. Sarannya Dinas Perhubungan Kota Cilegon harus mampu menindak tegas kendaraan yang tidak melakukan pengujian kendaraan agar terpenuhi penunjang keselamatan lalu lintas dan angkutan jalan. | |||||||||
