Abstract
This research aims to find data and information about the people of Cilegon City regarding legislative candidates who are former corruption convicts. This research uses quantitative. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observation and documentation. The respondent research technique used sampling with a total of 208 respondents. Apart from that, researchers used perception theory according to Walgito (2017). This research also uses 3 aspects, namely the Cognitive, Affective and Conative aspects of walgito. This research was conducted involving 208 residents of Cilegon City who were selected through random sampling, of which the 208 respondents were divided evenly using a questionnaire based on the Kishgrid method, namely by distributing even numbered questionnaires to men, and odd numbered questionnaires to women. The hypothesis in the Ho research is rejected and H1 is accepted, because t count > t table with the right-hand one-way acceptance hypothesis. This means that the perception of the people of Cilegon City in the 2024 Legislative Election for Former Corruption Convict Candidates is stated to be quite high at 75.7%.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari data dan informasi mengenai masyarakat Kota Cilegon terhadap calon legislatif mantan narapidana korupsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah menggunakan kuesioner, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik penelitian responden menggunakan sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 208 orang. Selain itu, peneliti menggunakan teori persepsi menurut Walgito (2017). Penelitian ini juga menggunakan 3 aspek yaitu aspek Kognitif, Afektif dan Konatif dari walgito. Penelitian bahwa penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan 208 masyarakat Kota Cilegon yang terpilih melalui pengacakan sampling, yang mana 208 orang responden tersebut terbagi secara rata menggunakan angket berdasarkan metode Kishgrid yakni dengan membagikan angket bernomor genap kepada laki – laki, dan angket bernomor ganjil kepada perempuan. Hipotesis pada penelitian Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima, karena t hitung > t tabel dengan hipotesis penerimaan satu arah pihak kanan. Artinya persepsi masyarakat Kota Cilegon pada Pemilu Legislatif Calon Mantan Narapidana Korupsi tahun 2024 dinyatakan cukup tinggi sebesar 75,7%. | ||||||
