Abstract

Equality is the touchstone of justice. In the context of education, gender equality and social roles are encouraged. This can be seen from the government's encouragement in providing inclusive teaching materials. In this research, the author examines Indonesian Textbooks for Grade VII. The theoretical analysis is based on Fakih's gender equality theory using qualitative methods. The results show that although inclusive education and gender equality are government programs, this has not been reflected in the teaching materials of Indonesian Language Textbook Grade VII. The researcher found that there is still gender bias both textually and visually in the object of the study..

Additional Information: Kesetaraan adalah dasar keadilan. Dalam konteks pendidikan, kesetaraan gender dan peran sosial didorong untuk dikembangkan. Hal ini terlihat dari dorongan pemerintah dalam menyediakan materi ajar yang inklusif. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis mengkaji Buku Teks Bahasa Indonesia untuk Kelas VII. Analisis teoritis didasarkan pada teori kesetaraan gender milik Fakih dengan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pendidikan inklusif dan kesetaraan gender merupakan program pemerintah, hal ini belum tercermin dalam materi ajar pada Buku Teks Bahasa Indonesia Kelas VII. Peneliti menemukan bahwa masih terdapat bias gender baik secara tekstual maupun visual dalam objek kajian.
