Abstract

Conventional learning faces challenges in enhancing students' understanding of complex concepts, including the topics of free association and adultery in Islamic religious education. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Flipped Classroom model and the utilization of ChatGPT on students' understanding of concepts related to that material at SMAN 29 Tangerang Regency. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of students in grades X-1 and X-2. The research instruments include conceptual understanding tests and learning outcome tests. Data were analyzed using the paired sample t-test and ANOVA statistical tests to determine the differences in learning outcomes between the two groups. The research results show that the use of Flipped Classroom and ChatGPT significantly improves students' conceptual understanding compared to conventional methods (p < 0.05). This model allows students to learn independently before class, so faceto-face time can be utilized for in-depth discussions. The implications of this research indicate that the integration of technology into innovative learning models can enhance the effectiveness of education. Therefore, this research recommends the use of AI-based Flipped Classroom as a strategy to enhance students' understanding of conceptual and moral value-based material.

Additional Information: Pembelajaran konvensional menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep-konsep kompleks, termasuk materi pergaulan bebas dan zina dalam pendidikan agama Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Flipped Classroom dan pemanfaatan ChatGPT terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi tersebut di SMAN 29 Kabupaten Tangerang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel terdiri dari siswa kelas X-1 dan X-2. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes pemahaman konsep dengan tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik paired sample t-test dan uji ANOVA untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Flipped Classroom dan ChatGPT secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional (p < 0,05). Model ini memungkinkan siswa untuk belajar mandiri sebelum kelas, sehingga waktu tatap muka dapat dimanfaatkan untuk diskusi mendalam. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi dalam model pembelajaran inovatif dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan Flipped Classroom berbasis AI sebagai strategi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang bersifat konseptual dan bernilai moral.
