Abstract

The scheduling of Examinations is a crucial aspect of academic activities in universities, particularly in the Industrial Engineering Department of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. Problems in scheduling often arise due to limited facilities, schedule conflicts, and difficulties in accommodating lecturer preferences. This study aims to design a mathematical model based on Integer Linear Programming (ILP). The model is designed with the objective of maximizing schedule alignment with lecturer preferences. The results of the study show that an optimal exam schedule can be achieved by utilizing six offline rooms and four sessions per day, ensuring that all student capacity needs are met without any scheduling conflicts. A comparison between the manual method and the mathematical model demonstrates that the model significantly enhances scheduling efficiency, with an objective function value of 1,746 compared to only 352 using the manual method.

Additional Information: Penjadwalan Ujian merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam kegiatan akademik di perguruan tinggi, khususnya di Jurusan Teknik Industri Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Permasalahan dalam penyusunan jadwal seringkali muncul akibat keterbatasan fasilitas, bentrok jadwal, serta preferensi dosen yang sulit diakomodasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model matematika berbasis Integer Linear Programming (ILP). Model yang dirancang memiliki fungsi tujuan untuk memaksimalkan kesesuaian jadwal dengan preferensi dosen. Dari hasil penelitian, jadwal ujian yang optimal dicapai dengan memanfaatkan enam ruangan secara offline dan empat sesi per hari, sehingga seluruh kebutuhan kapasitas mahasiswa dapat terpenuhi tanpa adanya bentrok jadwal. Perbandingan antara metode manual dan model matematika menunjukkan bahwa model ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi penjadwalan dengan nilai fungsi tujuan mencapai 1.746 dibandingkan metode manual yang hanya mencapai nilai 352.
