Abstract
This research departs from the ecocentric paradigm in ecocritical studies which aims to describe the elements of pastoral values in the poetry collection Jalan Hati, Jalan Samudra by D. Zawawi Imron. Ecocriticism guides us to see the ecological views contained in literary works. The natural environment or the relationship between natural elements experiences textualization in text discourse, so ecocriticism must focus on the textual strategies of literary texts in conveying ecological messages about how humans interact with the organic world around them. This research method is a qualitative method. This research identifies the pastoral elements of Terry Gifford, namely bucolic, arcadia construction, and the discourse of retreat and return and how these have implications for literary learning. The results of this research found eight data of bucolic elements, twenty-three data of arcadia construction elements in the form of idylls, fifteen data of arcadia construction elements in the form of nostalgia, eighteen data of arcadia construction elements in the form of georgic, and fourteen data of retreat and return discourse elements. The results of this research are also worthy of being used as teaching material for literature learning.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertolak dari paradigma ekosentris dalam kajian ekokritik yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur nilai atau narasi pastoral pada kumpulan puisi Jalan Hati, Jalan Samudra karya D. Zawawi Imron. Ekokritik menuntun kita untuk melihat pandangan ekologis yang terkandung dalam karya sastra. Lingkungan alam atau keterkaitan antarelemen alam mengalami tekstualisasi dalam diskursus teks, sehingga ekokritik harus memusatkan perhatian pada strategi-strategi tekstual dari teks-teks sastra dalam menyampaikan pesan-pesan ekologis tentang bagaimana manusia berinteraksi dengan dunia organik di sekitarnya. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi unsur pastoral dari Terry Gifford, yakni bucolic, konstruksi arcadia, dan wacana retreat dan return, serta bagaimana implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran sastra. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan unsur bucolic berjumlah delapan data, unsur konstruksi arcadia berupa idylls berjumlah dua puluh tiga data, unsur konstruksi arcadia berupa nostalgic berjumlah lima belas data, unsur konstruksi arcadia berupa georgic berjumlah delapan belas data, dan unsur wacana retreat dan return berjumlah empat belas data. Hasil penelitian ini juga layak dijadikan bahan ajar pembelajaran sastra. | |||||||||
