Abstract

The learning process carried out at SDN Margasari class V in science and science subjek is mostly teacher-centred using the lecture method. The high-level thinking abilities of class V students at SDN Margasari are also not visible. This is proven by the absence of interactions such as questions and answers between students and teachers, as well as the absence of activities that lead to higher level thinking such as analyzing, evaluating or creating activities. This research is research and development (R&D) which aims to develop a HOTS-based module on science subject, material like what is my regional culture, this research is also to find out the quality of the HOTS-based science module that was developed, and find out students' responses after using this module. The subjects of this research were 20 class V students at SDN Margasari. The assessment results in this research were 89% from material experts, and 84.00% from media experts, overall getting a score in the "very decent" category. The assessment results from student responses obtained a result of 88.75% in the "very good" category. So it can be connected that the HOTS-based module on the science and sciences subject, what is the culture of my region, has been successfully developed into better teaching material because it has been prepared according to design and is able to provide benefits for learning.

Additional Information: Proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di SDN Margasari kelas V pada mata pelajaran IPAS, sebagian besar hanya berpusat pada guru dengan metode ceramah. Kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik kelas V SDN Margasari juga tidak terlihat. Hal demikian dibuktikan dengan tidak adanya interaksi seperti tanya jawab yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik dengan guru, serta tidak adanya aktifitas yang mengarah pada berfikir tingkat tinggi seperti kegiatan menganalisis, mengevaluasi, maupun mencipta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul berbasis HOTS pada mata pelajaran IPAS materi seperti apa budaya daerahku, penelitian ini juga untuk mengetahui kualitas modul IPAS berbasis HOTS yang dikembangkan, dan mengetahui respon peserta didik setelah menggunakan modul ini. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 peserta didik kelas V di SDN Margasari. Hasil penilaian pada penelitian ini yaitu mendapatkan 89% dari ahli materi, dan 84,00% dari ahli media, secara keseluruan memperoleh nilai dengan kategori “sangat layak”. Hasil penilaian dari respon peserta didik mendapatkan hasil 88,75% dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul berbasis HOTS pada mata pelajaran IPAS materi seperti apa budaya daerahku berhasil dikembangkan menjadi bahan ajar yang lebih baik karena telah disusun sesuai dengan perancangan dan mampu memberikan kebermanfaatan bagi pembelajaran.
