Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using the Google Eat application on chronological thinking abilities in studying Indonesian history for class X at MA Al-Khairiyah Rancaranji. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental quantitative method using a nonequivalent control group design. The research was conducted in class X-3 with 33 students as the experimental class, and X-2 with 33 students as the control class. The research results are as follows: (1) The influence of using the Google Eat application on chronological thinking abilities in studying Indonesian history for class X at MA Al-Khairiyah Rancaranji. Hypothesis testing via a two-party t test with the polled variant formula using Ms. Excel, obtained a tcount value of 2.90 ≥ ttable of 1.67 with a significance level of 0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. (2) the chronological thinking ability of students who use the Google Earth application learning media is higher than students who use Microsoft Power Point learning media. The average posttest score for the experimental class was 78.79, and the control class was 70.38. Shows that the experimental class has a higher average value than the control class. The Google Earth application learning media can be used as a reference in the Indonesian history learning process. Based on the research results, using Google Earth learning media has the following advantages: (1) improving several aspects, namely the ability to differentiate between the past, present and future. (2) increasing aspects of the ability to connect cause and effect in historical events. Students absorb learning material more quickly because they are shown the Google Earth application when learning history.

Penelitian dilakukan di kelas X- 3 berjumlah 33 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan X-2 berjumlah 33 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Adapun hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) Pengaruh Penggunaan Aplikasi Google Eath Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kronologis Dalam Pembelajran Sejarah Indonesia Kelas X Di MA Al-Khairiyah Rancaranji. Pengujian hipotesis melalui uji t dua pihak dengan rumus polled varian menggunakan Ms. Excel, diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 2,90 ≥ ttabel sebesar 1,67 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05, maka H0 ditolak H1 diterima. (2) kemampuan berpikir kronologis siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran aplikasi google earth lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran microsoft power point. Perolehan rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 78,79, dan kelas kontrol sebesar 70,38. Menunjukan bahwa kelas ekserimen memiliki nilai rata-rata lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol. media pembelajaran aplikasi google earth dapat digunakan sebagai rujukan dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penggunaan media pembelajaran google earth memiliki kelebihan: (1) meningkatkan beberapa aspek yaitu kemampuan mebedakan masa lalu, masa kini dan masa depan. (2) meningkatkan aspek kemampuan menghubungkan antara sebab dan akibat dalam peristiwa sejarah. Siswa jadi lebih cepat menyerap materi pembelajaran karena diperlihatkan aplikasi google earth saat pembelajaran sejarah.
