Abstract

Narratives have become an essential element in building connections and delivering messages through social media. TikTok, with its short video format, provides a platform for creators to use storytelling as an effective communication strategy in digital marketing. This research analyzes the narratives in Natasha Surya's TikTok content using Gérard Genette's narratology approach. The analysis focuses on narrative elements such as order, duration, frequency, mood, and voice to understand the role of narratives in supporting marketing communication. The analysis results reveal that Natasha Surya consistently employs anachronic narrative order, particularly analepsis, to provide context for stories relevant to the products being reviewed. Narrative duration is effectively conveyed through summarization and scene techniques, enabling dense information delivery in TikTok's short video format. Narrative frequency is dominated by anaphoric and repetitive representations, reinforcing the continuity of themes and messages. Natasha's narrative mood demonstrates an autodiegetic narrator with an internal perspective, creating emotional closeness with the audience. Her narrative voice aligns with an extradiegetic-homodiegetic paradigm, where she serves as the main narrator sharing her personal experiences directly with the audience. This technique aligns with TikTok's algorithm, which emphasizes personalization and engagement, thereby enhancing content reach and marketing campaign effectiveness.

Additional Information: Narasi telah menjadi elemen penting dalam membangun koneksi dan menyampaikan pesan melalui media sosial. TikTok, dengan format video pendeknya, memberikan ruang bagi kreator untuk menggunakan storytelling sebagai strategi komunikasi dalam digital marketing yang efektif. Penelitian ini menganalisis narasi dalam konten TikTok Natasha Surya menggunakan pendekatan naratologi Gérard Genette. Fokus analisis mencakup elemen naratif seperti urutan (order), durasi (duration), frekuensi (frequency), modus (mood), dan suara (voice) naratif untuk memahami peran narasi dalam mendukung komunikasi pemasaran. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Natasha Surya secara konsisten urutan naratif jenis anakroni, khususnya analepsis, untuk memberikan konteks pada cerita yang relevan dengan produk yang direview. Durasi naratif dikemas secara efektif melalui teknik ringkasan dan adegan, memungkinkan penyampaian informasi yang padat dalam format video pendek TikTok. Frekuensi naratif dominan dengan representasi anaforis dan pengulangan, memperkuat kontinuitas tema dan pesan. Modus naratif Natasha memperlihatkan narator autodiegetic dengan sudut pandang internal yang menciptakan kedekatan emosional dengan audiens. Suara naratif Natasha berada pada paradigma ekstradiegetik-homodiegetik, di mana Ia berperan sebagai narator utama yang menceritakan pengalaman pribadinya secara langsung kepada audiens. Teknik ini selaras dengan algoritma TikTok yang mendorong personalisasi dan engagement, sehingga memperluas jangkauan konten serta efektivitas kampanye pemasaran.
