Abstract
This study aimed to investigate antimicrobial activity of endophytic fungi of roots mangrove from Cagar Alam Pulau Dua. Isolation of endophytic fungi was based-on a surface-sterilized method on PDA media. Eight isolates were successfully isolated and the isolates were subjected to in vitro assay for their ability to produce antimicrobial. Antimicrobial testing using dual culture methodes. Based on the antibacterial test result, Aspergillus flavus Cendawan Endofit Mangrove 2 and Aspergillus niger Cendawan Endofit Mangrove 7 were known to have antibacterial activities agains Bacillus aureus, Staphylococcus sp., Escherichia coli dan Klebsiella sp. Based on the antifungi test result, Fusarium sp. CEM 1, Aspergillus flavus CEM 2, CEM 3, Penicillium sp. CEM 4, CEM 6, Aspergillus niger CEM 7 dan CEM 8 were known to have antifungi activities agains Fusarium sp. This results of this research will be implemented in the field of education as an analysis of biology learning tools.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi cendawan endofit akar mangove Cagar Alam Pulau Dua sebagai antimikroba. Pemurnian cendawan endofit didapatkan dengan cara mengambil akar mangrove kemudian dilakukan sterilisasi permukaan akar dan diisolasi di dalam media Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA). Dari hasil pemurnian, didapatkan delapan isolat cendawan yang kemudian dilakukan pengujian untuk melihat potensi antimikrobanya. Pengujian antimikroba dilakukan dengan metode dual culture. Hasil pengujian antibakteri terhadap Bacillus aureus, Staphylococcus sp., Escherichia coli dan Klebsiella sp. menghasilkan hasil positif dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri uji. Hasil pengujian antifungi Aspergillus flavus CEM 2 (Cendawan Endofit Mangrove) dan Aspergillus niger CEM 7 menghasilkan hasil positif dapat menghambat Candida albicans. Hasil pengujian antifungi Fusarium sp. CEM 1, Aspergillus flavus CEM 2, CEM 3, Penicillium sp. CEM 4, CEM 6, Aspergillus niger CEM 7 dan CEM 8 menhgasilkan hasil positif dapat menghambat terhadap patogen Fusarium oxysporum. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diimplementasikan ke dalam bidang pendidikan sebagai perangkat pembelajaran biologi berupa poster. | |||||||||
