Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the LAB RI (Learning by Research) learning model on students' cognitive values. There are six stages used in this learning including orientation, research design, exploration, analyze, conclusion and exhibition. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The population in this study were students of SMAN 9 Tangerang Regency, the sample used a simple random technique, students of class X MIA 5 as the experimental class and X MIA 7 as the control class. The instrument used was multiple choice questions with data analysis techniques using the two sample Kolmogrof Smirnov test and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test. The results of the Mann-Whitney test have a result of 0.03 (P <0.05) this means that H° is rejected and H¹ is accepted, so there is an effect of the LAB RI (Learning by Research) learning model on students' cognitive values.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran LAB RI (Learning by Research) terhadap nilai kognitif siswa. Terdapat enam tahapan yang digunakan pada pembelajaran ini diantaranya orientation, research design, exploration, analyze, conclusion dan exhibition. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen semu. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 9 Kabupaten Tangerang, sampel menggunakan teknik acak sederhana, siswa kelas X MIA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIA 7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal pilihan ganda dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji two sample Kolmogrof Smirnov dan uji non parametrik tes uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney memiliki hasil 0.03 (P<0, 05) hal ini berarti H° di tolak dan H¹ diterima maka terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran LAB RI (Learning by Research) terhadap nilai kognitif siswa.
