Abstract
This study aimed to examine the relationship between family and peer environments and the sociology learning motivation of grade XI Social Studies students at SMAN 1 Ciruas. A quantitative approach was employed using a correlational method. The population consisted of all grade XI Social Studies students at SMAN 1 Ciruas, totaling 242 students, with a sample of 71 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire that measured the variables of family environment (X1), peer environment (X2), and learning motivation (Y). The prerequisite tests included normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. Data analysis was conducted using multivariate (multiple) correlation tests to determine the relationship between family and peer environments and learning motivation. Based on the analysis results presented in the correlation table, the significance value was <0.000 < α (0.05) with a significance level of 0.05, which indicated that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. The strength of the relationship between the variables of family and peer environments and learning motivation was 0.698, indicating a strong relationship. It was therefore concluded that there was a positive and significant relationship between family and peer environments and the sociology learning motivation of grade XI Social Studies students at SMAN 1 Ciruas. This study obtained a coefficient of determination (r²) of 0.488, indicating that family and peer environments jointly contributed 48.8% to the variance in students' learning motivation, while the remaining 51.2% was influenced by other factors not analyzed in this study.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara lingkungan keluarga dan teman sebaya dengan motivasi belajar sosiologi siswa kelas XI IPS di SMAN 1 Ciruas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitiannya yaitu seluruh kelas XI IPS di SMAN 1 Ciruas sebanyak 242 siswa, dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 71 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengukur variabel lingkungan keluarga (X1), teman sebaya (X2), dan motivasi belajar (Y). Uji prasyarat analisis yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji linieritas, dan uji multikolinearitas. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi multivariate (ganda) untuk mengetahui hubungan antara lingkungan keluarga dan teman sebaya dengan motivasi belajar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang terdapat pada tabel korelasi, memperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar <0,000 < α (0,05) dengan taraf siginifikansi 0,05, sehingga H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Besarnya hubungan antara variabel lingkungan keluarga dan teman sebaya dengan motivasi belajar sebesar 0,698, dengan tingkat hubungan kuat. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara lingkungan keluarga dan teman sebaya dengan motivasi belajar sosiologi siswa kelas XI IPS di SMAN 1 Ciruas. Penelitian ini memperoleh koefisien determinasi (r²) sebesar 0,488 menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan keluarga dan teman sebaya secara bersama-sama memberikan kontribusi sebesar 48,8% terhadap variansi motivasi belajar siswa, sementara sisanya, yaitu 51,2%, dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak dianalisis dalam penelitian ini. | |||||||||
