Abstract

This study is a class action research conducted with the aim to improve students' understanding in the lesson material of Dance Creation through the application of STAD type cooperative learning model. The subjects of the study were students of class IXC SMPN 3 Teluknaga, totaling 38 students, while the object of this study was the learning outcomes of dance creation material. Data on learning outcomes were collected by tests and then analyzed based on understanding and learning completeness. The indicator of success in this study is the increased understanding of students with learning completeness ≥75%. This research was carried out in two cycles and gave very satisfying results. In cycle I, students' understanding of the material reached 70.43% and in cycle II, students' understanding reached 85.36%. From these results it can be seen that there is an increase in understanding of student learning outcomes, the difference in average scores from 42.29% to 21.19%. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve the understanding of learning outcomes of dance creation material for students in class IXC SMPN 3 Teluknaga in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam pelajaran materi Tari Kreasi melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Subjek dari penelitian adalah siswa kelas IXC SMPN 3 Teluknaga yang berjumlah 38 siswa, sedangkan objek dari penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar materi tari kreasi. Data hasil belajar dikumpulkan dengan tes selanjutnya dianalisis berdasarkan pemahaman dan ketuntasan belajar. Indikator keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini adalah pemahaman siswa yang meningkat mencapai dengan ketuntasan belajar ≥75%. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dan memberikan hasil yang sangat memuaskan. Pada siklus I pemahaman materi yang dicapai siswa 70,43% dan pada siklus II pemahaman yang dicapai siswa 85,36%. Dari hasil tersebut dapat diketahui ada peningkatan pemahaman dari hasil belajar siswa selisih rata-rata nilai dari 42,29% hingga 21,19%. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan pemahaman hasil belajar materi tari kreasi siswa kelas IXC SMPN 3 Teluknaga Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025.
