Abstract

Cardiovascular disease has become a leading cause of death worldwide. One form of prevention can be done through ECG (Electrocardiogram) examinations, but ECG examinations are still conducted conventionally by experts. The high cost and long travel time for patients in remote areas are a concern, therefore, this research aims to build a wireless network-based ECG transmission and monitoring system. This system consists electrocardiograph sensor, microcontroller ESP 32, and web. The sensor measurement data can be displayed on a web application in real-time with data transmission using two protocol, HTTP protocol and websocket protocol. The results of the research show that the electrocardiogram monitoring system with the websocket protocol is more effective in transmitting electrocardiogram signal data, but the electrocardiogram monitoring system with the HTTP protocol has advantages in features such as data storage and download.

Additional Information: Penyakit kardiovaskular menjadi penyebab tingginya angka kematian di dunia. Salah satu pencegahan dapat dilakukan dengan pemeriksaan elektrokardiogram, namun pemeriksaan EKG (Elektrokardiogram) saat ini masih dilakukan secara konvensional oleh tenaga ahli. Tingginya biaya dan lamanya waktu perjalanan bagi pasien diwilayah terpencil menjadi hal yang patut diperhatikan, oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem transmisi dan pemantauan EKG berbasis jaringan nirkabel. Sistem ini terdiri atas sensor elektrokardiograf, mikrokontroler ESP 32, dan web. Data hasil pengukuran sensor dapat ditampilkan pada aplikasi web secara real-time dengan transmisi data menggunakan 2 protokol komunikasi data yaitu protokol HTTP dan protokol websocket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sistem pemantauan EKG dengan protokol websocket lebih efektif dalam mentransmisikan data sinyal EKG, namun sistem pemantauan EKG dengan protokol HTTP memiliki kelebihan di bagian fitur seperti penyimpanan data dan unduh data.
