Abstract

This research aims to empirically test the influence of financial literacy, religiosity, promotion and perception on interest in saving at Islamic banks by students in Serang City. This problem exists because looking at the problem of sharia banks which have experienced an increase in their total assets, which proves that sharia banks already have many customers, but this is still behind the total assets of conventional commercial banks. This study uses a Quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to the population of this study, namely students majoring in Islamic Economics at 3 universities in Serang City, namely Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin, and Serang Raya University. This study was processed using the Eviews application. Based on the results of data analysis through the partial T test, it is known that the variabels Financial Literacy (X1) and Religiosity (X2) have no effect on interest in saving (Y), while the variabels Promotion (X3) and Perception (X4) have a positive and significant influence on interest in saving (Y) at Sharia Bank. Simultaneous test results show that the variabels Financial Literacy (X1), Religiosity (X2), Promotion (X3), and Perception (X4) have a positive and significant effect on Interest in Saving (Y). Analysis of the coefficient of determination in this study shows that the magnitude of the influence of the variabels financial literacy (X1), religiosity (X2), promotion (X3), and perception (X4) on the variabel interest in saving (Y) is 59.9%, while for the remainder it i 59.9%. 40.1% is influenced by other variabels.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh liteasi keuangan, religiusitas, promosi, dan pesepsi terhadap minat menabung di bank syariah oleh para mahasiwa di Kota Serang. Masalah ini ada karena melihat dari persoalan bank syariah yang telah mengalami kenaikan pada total asetnya yang membuktikan bahwa bank syariah sudah memiliki banyak nasabah, namun ini masih tertinggal dengan total aset bank umum konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kuantitatif dengan menyebar kuesioner kepada populasi penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa jurusan Ekonomi Syariah di 3 universitas Kota Serang, yaitu Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin, dan Universitas Serang Raya. Penelitian ini diolah menggunakan aplikasi Eviews. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data melalui uji parsial Uji T diketahui bahwa variabel Literasi Keuangan (X1) dan Religiusitas (X2) tidak berpengaruh terhadap minat menabung (Y), sedangkan variabel Promosi (X3) dan Persepsi (X4) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat menabung (Y) di Bank Syariah. Hasil pengujian secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa variabel Literasi Keuangan (X1), Religiusitas (X2), Promosi (X3), dan Persepsi (X4) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Minat Menabung (Y). Analisis koefisien determinasi pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa besarnya pengaruh dari variabel literasi keuangan (X1), religiusitas (X2), promosi (X3), dan persepsi (X4) terhadap variabel minat menabung (Y) sebesar 59,9% , sedangkan untuk sisanya sebesar 40,1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain.
