Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of different types and times of application of bokashi fertilizer on the growth and yield of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). This research was conducted in home gardens starting in May - July 2024. This research used a Randomized Block Design with two factors, the first factor was the type of bokashi fertilizer (J) which consisted of two levels, namely rice straw bokashi (J1) and rice husk bokashi (J2). The second factor the time of application of bokashi fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely 10 days before planting (W1), 7 days before planting (W2), 5 days before planting (W3), and at planting time (W4). Each treatment was repeated 3 times to obtain 32 experimental units. The type of bokashi fertilizer has a very real influence on the wet weight parameters of the plant roots, while the time of application (W) has a very real significant on the parameters of plant height aged 4 - 6 WAP, number of leaves aged 4 - 5 WAP, leaf width aged 3 - 6 WAP, and had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height aged 2 – 3 WAP, number of leaves aged 2 and 6 WAP, leaf width aged 2 WAP and wet weight of the plant canopy. There was an interaction between the type and time of application of bokashi fertilizer on the parameters of leaf width at 6 WAP and root length.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis dan waktu pemberian pupuk bokashi yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan pekarangan rumah mulai bulan Mei - Juli 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan dua faktor, faktor pertama adalah jenis pupuk bokashi (J) yang terdiri dari dua taraf yaitu bokashi jerami padi (J1) dan bokashi sekam padi (J2). Faktor kedua waktu pemberian pupuk bokashi yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu 10 hari sebelum tanam (W1), 7 hari sebelum tanam (W2), 5 hari sebelum tanam (W3), dan pada saat tanam (W4). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 32 satuan percobaan. Jenis pupuk bokashi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter berat basah akar tanaman, sedangkan waktu pemberian (W) berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman umur 4 – 6 MST, jumlah daun umur 4 – 5 MST, lebar daun umur 3 – 6 MST, dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman umur 2 – 3 MST, jumlah daun umur 2 dan 6 MST, lebar daun umur 2 MST dan berat basah tajuk tanaman. Terdapat interaksi antara jenis dan waktu pemberian pupuk bokashi terhadap parameter lebar daun umur 6 MST dan panjang akar.
