Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical understanding skills of students due to the minimal use of interesting learning media. Augmented Reality (AR) technology was chosen as an innovation in learning media to improve this ability, using the Assemblr Edu platform. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of AR-based learning media assisted by Assemblr Edu to improve students' mathematical understanding abilities. The type of research used is development research or Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of this study were 37 students of class XI MAN 1 Kota Serang. Based on the assessment carried out by the expert material validator and media expert, it was obtained 83.68% and 88.77% respectively with a very valid category. The results of teacher and student responses were obtained 79.41% and 78.26% which were in the practical category. The learning outcomes showed an increase in students' mathematical understanding abilities with a moderate category after implementing learning in the moderate category, with the paired t-test obtained the results of t_count = 16.88 and t_table = 2.028, which means t_count> t_table. It can be concluded that Augmented Reality-based learning media assisted by Assemblr Edu is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' mathematical understanding abilities.

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan media pembelajaran berbasis AR berbantuan Assemblr Edu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 37 siswa kelas XI MAN 1 Kota Serang. Berdasarkan penilaian yang dilakukan oleh validator ahli materi dan ahli media diperoleh masing-masing sebesar 83,67% dan 88,77% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil respon guru dan siswa diperoleh sebesar 79,41% dan 78,26% yang berada pada kategori praktis. Hasil pembelajaran menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan kategori sedang setelah melaksanakan pembelajaran dalam kategori sedang, dengan dengan uji t-paired didapatkan hasil t_hitung=16,88 dan t_tabel=2,028, yang berarti t_hitung>t_tabel. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality berbantuan Assemblr Edu ini valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa.
