Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of differentiated learning integrated with the Searching Information, Communication, and Modelling (SICOMO) learning model on the science communication skills of grade XI students on excretory system material. This study is a quantitative study using a quasi experiment with a nonequivalent (pretest-posttest) control group design. This study was conducted at Yuppentek 1 High School in Tangerang City in January until October 2024. In this study, all XI classes were the population and research samples namely XI 1 class as the control class and XI 3 class as the experimental class. The sample was determined using purposive sampling technique. In the control class, the learning model applied was Project Based Learning (PjBL), while in the experimental class the learning applied was differentiated learning integrated with the SICOMO model. Data collection was carried out by an essay question test to measure written science communication skills, and observation to measure oral science communication skills. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 25 using the Independent Sample T Test. Results from the written communication science ability test is p=0.011, rejection H0 at p < 0.05 and from oral communication science abiliity test is p=0.002, rejection H0 at p < 0.05. As a result the model of SICOMO with differentiated learning has an effect on written and oral communication science skills.

Additional Information: | Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang diintegrasikan dengan model pembelajaran SICOMO terhadap kemampuan komunikasi sains siswa kelas XI pada materi sitem ekskresi di SMA Yuppentek 1 Kota Tangerang. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif,dengan eksperimen semu dan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group designyang dilakukan pada bulan Januari-Oktober 2024. Kelas XI adalah populasi dalam penelitian ini dan sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas XI 1 dan XI 3 yang masing-masing menjadi kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Penentuan sampel pada penelitian ini dibantu dengan teknik purposive sampling. Perlakuan yang diberikan pada kelas eksperimen adalah pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang diintegrasikan dengan model pembelajaran SICOMO sedangkan pada kelas kontrol adalah model PjBL. Pada kedua kelas pengambilan data dilakukan dengan tes uraian untuk komunikasi sains tulisan dan observasi untuk kemampuan komunikasi sains lisan. Hasil pengambilan data kemudian dianalisis dengan Uji Independent Sample T-test dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS 25. Hasil dari analisis menunjukkan hasil uji hipotesis dengan hasil uji kemampuan komunikasi sains tulisan sebesar 0.011 dengan α < 0.05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan uji kemampuan komunikasi sains lisan sebesar 0.002 dengan α < 0.05 sehingga H0 ditolak, sehingga terdapat pengaruh perlakuan terhadap komunikasi sains tulisan dan lisan. | |||||||||
