Abstract

The melinjo plant is widely cultivated in Banten. The old leaves of melinjo have the potential to be used as a primary material for the production of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) because they contain essential elements required in the production of LOF. This study aims to examine the effect of melinjo leaf (Gnetum gnemon L.) LOF on the growth of bok choy (Brassica rapa L.) plants, and the result is recommended as content for the P5 project module in Merdeka Curriculum. This research used experiment method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 (four) treatments with 2 (two) repetitions. The treatments were P0- (100% water), P0+ (2% instant fertilizer Infarm), P1 (10% melinjo leaf LOF), and P2 (20% melinjo leaf LOF). The plant growth parameters measured include leaf length, leaf width, leaf number, plant height, root length, plant wet weight, plant dry weight, and total chlorophyll levels. The results showed that the nutrient content in melinjo leaf LOF is still low refers to quality standards for liquid organic fertilizers set by the Minister of Agriculture Regulation Number 261 of 2019. The key findings of this study on melinjo leaf LOF production were as follows: The melinjo plant is widely cultivated in Banten; replacing inorganic fertilizers with organic ones could helps maintain soil physical properties; old melinjo leaves are not yet fully utilized in Banten; and old melinjo leaves has the potential to be used as LOF material, which could be recommended as a content for P5 project module on the theme of sustainable lifestyle and local wisdom.

Additional Information: Tanaman melinjo merupakan tanaman yang banyak dibudidayakan di Banten. Daun tua melinjo berpotensi sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan pupuk organik cair (POC) karena memiliki kandungan yang dibutuhkan dalam pembuatan POC. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh POC daun melinjo (Gnetum gnemon L.) pada pertumbuhan tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.), selanjutnya fakta-fakta penelitian direkomendasikan sebagai konten modul proyek kegiatan P5 Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pada 4 (empat) perlakuan dengan 2 (dua) kali ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut yaitu P0- (100% air), P0+ (2% pupuk instan infarm), P1 (10% POC daun melinjo), dan P2 (20%) POC daun melinjo. Parameter pertumbuhan tanaman yang diukur berupa panjang daun, lebar daun, jumlah daun, tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, berat basah tanaman, berat kering tanaman, dan kadar klorofil total. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan unsur hara pada POC daun melinjo rendah dan belum memenuhi standar mutu pupuk organik cair yang tercantum pada Peraturan Menteri Pertanian Nomor 261 Tahun 2019. Fakta-fakta hasil penelitian pada pembuatan POC daun melinjo yaitu tanaman melinjo merupakan tanaman yang melimpah di Banten, penggantian pupuk anorganik menjadi organik untuk menjaga sifat fisik tanah, daun melinjo tua masih belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik di Banten, dan daun melinjo tua berpotensi dijadikan POC dapat dijadikan sebagai rekomendasi konten modul proyek kegiatan P5 pada tema gaya hidup berkelanjutan dan kearifan lokal.
