Abstract
Intellectual disability children are children who need special services in their cognitive aspects. Learning math subtraction operations is one of the cognitive aspects. Therefore, to help their cognitive aspects, learning media is needed for success in their cognitive aspects. This study aims to determine the results of learning mathematics subtraction operations in mild mentally disabled. children in grade 1 special elementary school at Kak Seto Special School using block media. This study uses an experimental method with a single subject research (SSR) approach with an A-B-A design. The subject in this study is one of the students in class I special elementary school who has mild intellectual disability who has not been able to complete the learning of mathematics subtraction operations of unit numbers 1 to 5. The target behavior in this study is the learning outcomes of mathematics subtraction operations. Data collection techniques obtained by observation, and test questions. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics with graphical presentation. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the use of block media can improve the learning outcomes of mathematics subtraction operations of mild mentally disabled. children. This statement is based on the increase obtained in the target behavior, namely the increase in mathematics learning outcomes of subtraction operations in the initial condition obtained a result of 25% and then increased to 62.5%. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the use of block media can improve the learning outcomes of math subtraction operations for children with mild deafness at Kak Seto Special School.

Additional Information: | Anak tunagrahita adalah anak yang memerlukan layanan yang khusus pada aspek kognitifnya. Pembelajaran matematika operasi pengurangan merupakan salah satu aspek kognitif. Maka dari itu untuk membantu aspek kognitif nya diperlukan media pembelajaran untuk keberhasilan dalam aspek kogntifnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar matematika tentang operasi pengurangan pada siswa tunagrahita ringan di kelas 1 SDKh di Sekolah Khusus Kak Seto menggunakan media balok. Studi ini memakai metode percobaan dengan pendekatan single subject research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A. Subjek pada studi ini merupakan salah satu siswa kelas I SDKh yang memiliki hambatan intelektual tunagrahita ringan yang belum mampu untuk menyelesaikan pembelajaran matematika operasi pengurangan angka satuan 1 sampai 5. Perilaku sasaran pada studi ini merupakan hasil pembelajaran matematika terkait operasi pengurangan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif yang ditampilkan melalui grafik. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa media balok efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika, khususnya operasi pengurangan, pada anak dengan tunagrahita ringan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar dari 25% pada kondisi awal menjadi 62,5%. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan media balok efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan matematika pengurangan pada anak tunagrahita di Sekolah Khusus Kak Seto. | |||||||||
