Abstract

Technological innovation in education offers opportunities to improve students' digital literacy, one of which is through the application of virtual reality (VR) technology in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing VR media based on hydroponic cultivation websites to improve students' digital literacy. This study used a quasi-experimental method as part of the develop stage (field trial) in the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation) with a one-shot case study research design. This study was conducted in July-December 2024 at SMAN 7 Kota Serang in class XII IPA 1 with 34 students and at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. Learning effectiveness was seen from learning outcomes and learning processes. Learning outcomes were measured from the digital literacy ability essay test, while the learning process was measured from the student response questionnaire, teacher reflection journal, and learning implementation observation sheet. Based on the processing of learning outcome data measured using the digital literacy essay test, a value of 85.91% was obtained which is included in the very high criteria and effective category. The results of the learning process measured from the student response questionnaire obtained a value of 86.37% which is included in the very feasible and effective category. These results indicated that the application of VR media based on hydroponic cultivation websites was effective in improving students' digital literacy.

Additional Information: Inovasi teknologi dalam pendidikan menawarkan peluang untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa, salah satunya melalui penerapan teknologi virtual reality (VR) pada proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan media VR berbasis website budidaya hidroponik untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experiment sebagai bagian dari tahap develop (uji coba lapangan) pada model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, dan Evaluation) dengan desain penelitian the one-shot case study. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli-Desember 2024 di SMAN 7 Kota Serang pada kelas XII IPA 1 dengan jumlah 34 siswa dan di Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Efektivitas pembelajaran dilihat dari hasil belajar dan proses pembelajaran. Hasil belajar diukur dari tes uraian kemampuan literasi digital, sedangkan proses pembelajaran diukur dari angket respon siswa, jurnal refleksi guru, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan pengolahan data hasil belajar yang diukur menggunakan tes uraian literasi digital diperoleh nilai 85,91% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi dan efektif. Hasil proses pembelajaran yang diukur dari angket respon siswa diperoleh nilai 86,37% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak dan efektif. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media VR berbasis website budidaya hidroponik efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa.
