Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of understanding of individual counseling skills among Guidance and Counseling Teachers in State Senior High Schools in Tangerang City. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey research method. The population in this study is 23 guidance and counseling teachers, which were taken using a total population technique. Data collection techniques use questionnaires. This questionnaire instrument uses a Likert scale, namely Strongly Agree (SA), Agree (A), Disagree (D), and Strongly Disagree (SD). The method for collecting data uses a questionnaire through Google Forms. Validity testing was conducted using construct validity, and reliability testing using Cronbach's Alpha formula. The data analysis used descriptive statistics. The results of the research on individual counseling skills show that (1) there are 7 teachers (30%) in the low category, 10 teachers (43%) in the medium category, and 6 teachers (27%) in the high category, (2) of the aspects of individual counseling skills, there are 12 aspects that fall into the medium category, such as the attending aspect, and the aspects that fall into the high category are the empathy aspect.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman keterampilan konseling individu Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling SMK Negeri Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode penelitian survei. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu 23 guru bimbingan dan konseling yang diambil dengan teknik populasi. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan angket atau kuisioner. Pada instrumen angket ini menggunakan skala Likert yaitu Skala , Sangat Setuju (SS), Setuju (S), Tidak Setuju (TS), Sangat Tidak Setuju (STS). Metode dalam mengumpulkan data menggunakan instrumen Kuesioner atau Angket melalui google form. Uji Validitas dilakukan dengan validitas konstruk serta uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian keterampilan konseling individu menunjukan bahwa (1) terdapat 7 guru (30%) berada pada kategori rendah, 10 guru (43%) berada pada kategori sedang, dan 6 guru (27%) berada pada kategori tinggi, (2) dari aspek keterampilan konseling individu terdapat terdapat 15 aspek yang termasuk kedalam kategori sedang yaitu aspek attending,dan aspek yang termasuk kategori tinggi yaitu, aspek empati.
