Abstract
Farmer groups are one of the institutional systems in rural areas, whose function is to organize farmers on the basis of shared interests, similar social, economic and resource environmental conditions. Farmer group institutions have an important role in agricultural development. The perception of the farmer group has an affiliation with the level of farmer participation in the farmer group. The research method uses descriptive and correlational statistical analysis. The research results show that non-formal education, organizational experience and self-motivation are quite good. External factors include government and private encouragement, the number of outreach visits, choice of media and intensity of stimuli are also quite good. Members' perceptions about the urgency of farmer groups as a forum for obtaining programs, increasing farmer capacity and as a means for farmer learning. Level of participation in planning involvement (71.58), implementation (63.16%) and evaluation of activities (66.3%). Participation (Y2) through members' perceptions of the urgency of farmer groups (Y1) research results show that the effect is not significant. Internal factors (X1) on the level of participation (Y2) through member perceptions about the urgency of farmer groups (Y1) have a p-value of more than 0.05.

| Additional Information: | Kelompok tani merupakan salah satu sistem kelembagaan yang berada di wilayah pedesaan, berfungsi mengorganisir para petani atas dasar kesamaan kepentingan, kesamaan kondisi lingkungan sosial, ekonomi dan sumberdaya. Kelembagaan kelompok tani memiliki peranan penting dalam pembangunan pertanian. Persepsi kelompok tani memiliki afiliasi dengan tingkat partisipasi petani dalam kelompok tani, apabila persepsi petani terhadap kelompok baik maka diharapkan partisipasi meningkat dan begitu juga sebaliknya. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis statitistik deskriptif dan korelasional. Hasil Penelitian menujukkan pendidikan non formal, pengalaman berorganisasi dan motavasi diri cukup baik. Faktor eksternal dorongan pemerintah dan swasta jumlah kunjungan penyuluhan, pemilihan media dan intensitas stimuli juga cukup baik. Persepsi anggota tentang urgensi kelompok tani sebagai wadah untuk mendapatkan program, peningkatan kapasitas petani dan sebagai sarana belajar petani. Tingkat partisipasi keterlibatan perencanaan (71,58), pelaksanaan (63,16%) dan evaluasi kegiatan (66,3%). Partisipasi (Y2) melalui Persepsi anggota tentang urgensi kelompok tani (Y1) hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh tidak signifikan.
