Abstract

The researcher describes the public perception of minimarkets on the socio-economic conditions of traditional market traders. This study aims to determine how the influence of public perception of minimarkets on the socio-economic of traders in the Cikupa Traditional Market, Tangerang Regency. This is due to the large number of minimarkets located within proximity to the market. This study uses a quantitative causal survey method with a population of 440 traders with a sample of 75 traders. The data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics by conducting analysis prerequisite tests and simple regression analysis. The inferential statistical analysis test used the SPSS 22version.. This study uses the Interactionism Symbolic theory by George Herbert Mead using of mind, self, and society as the concept. The concept of mind, self, and society initiated will explain the phenomena that occur from a sociological perspective. Based on the results of the study, public perception of minimarkets is divided into 3 class intervals, namely bad, quite bad, and quite good. While the socio-economic conditions of traders are in the bad category. Based on the results of testing using inferential statistical analysis, public perception of minimarket has a negative and significant effect on the socio-economic conditions of traders at Cikupa Traditional Market, Tangerang Regency, by 60%.

Additional Information: Peneliti menggambarkan persepsi masyarakat tentang minimarket terhadap kondisi sosial ekonomi pedagang pasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh persepsi masyarakat tentang minimarket terhadap kondisi sosial ekonomi pedagang Pasar Tradisional Cikupa Kabupaten Tangerang. Hal ini disebabkan oleh banyaknya minimarket yang berada dalam jarak dekat dari pasar tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif kausal jenis survey dengan populasi sebanyak 440 pedagang dengan sampel berjumlah 75 pedagang. Adapun analisis datanya dilakukan secara statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan melakukan pengujian prasyarat analisis dan analisis regresi sederhana. Adapun pengujian analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 22. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Interaksionisme Simbolik yang digagas George Herbert Mead dengan menggunakan konsep mind, self, and society. Konsep mind, self, dan society yang digagas Mead akan menjelaskan fenomena yang terjadi dari sudut pandang sosiologi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, persepsi masyarakat tentang minimarket terbagi menjadi 3 inteval kelas, yaitu buruk, cukup buruk, dan cukup baik. Sedangkan kondisi sosial ekonomi pedagang berada pada kategori cukup buruk. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis menngunakan analisis statistik inferensial, persepsi masyarakat tentang minimarket berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kondisi sosial ekonomi pedagang Pasar Tradisional Cikupa Kabupaten Tangerang sebesar 60%
