Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of planting media composition and the concentration of vegetable waste liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) to the growth and yield of mustard greens. This research is located at Jalan Kedoya Garden, West Jakarta from January to April 2024. This research used a factorial Randomized Block Design with two factors. The first factor was the composition of the planting media (T), which consisted of 4 levels: control (T0), soil + goat manure organic material 1:1 (T1), soil + husk charcoal 1:1 (T2), and soil + goat manure organic material + husk charcoal 1:1:1 (T3). The second factor was the concentration of vegetable waste LOF (P), which consisted of 4 levels: control (P0), 25 ml/l (P1), 35ml/l (P2), and 45 ml/l (P3). The results showed that the composition of the planting media soil + goat manure organic material 1:1 had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height at 5 weeks after planting (WAP) (31,58 cm), number of leaves at 5 WAP (10,08 leaves), plant wet weight (7,71 g). It had a significant effect on the number of leaves at 3 WAP (6,92 leaves) and 4 WAP (7,5 leaves). The application of vegetable waste LOF had not a significant effect on all parameters and therefore had not an impact on the growth and yield of green mustard plants. There was an interaction between the composition of the planting media and the concentration of vegetable waste LOF on root length with the best treatment was control planting media (T0) and vegetable waste LOF concentration of 35 ml/l (P2) (46,67 cm).

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair limbah sayuran terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jalan Kedoya Garden, Kedoya Selatan, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta Barat dari bulan Januari sampai April 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah komposisi media tanam (T) terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu kontrol (T0), tanah + bahan organik kotoran kambing 1:1 (T1), tanah + arang sekam 1:1 (T2), dan tanah + bahan organik kotoran kambing + arang sekam 1:1:1 (T3). Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi pupuk organik cair limbah sayuran (P) terdiri dari 4 faktor yaitu kontrol (P0), 25 ml/l (P1), 35 ml/l (P2), dan 45 ml/l (P3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi media tanam tanah + bahan organik kotoran kambing 1:1 (T1) memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman 5 MST (Minggu Setelah Tanam) (31,58 cm), parameter jumlah daun 5 MST (10,08 helai), serta parameter bobot basah tanaman (7,71 g). Sedangkan berpengaruh nyata pada parameter jumlah daun 3 MST (6,92 helai) dan parameter jumlah daun 4 MST (7,5 helai). Pengaplikasian POC limbah sayuran tidak berpengaruh nyata pada seluruh parameter sehingga tidak memberikan dampak terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi hijau. Terdapat interaksi antara komposisi media tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair limbah sayuran yang berbeda terhadap parameter panjang akar dengan pengaruh terbaik pada perlakuan T0P2 (43,67 cm).
