Abstract
The Maulid tradition of the Prophet Muhammad SAW is a celebration of the anniversary of his birth, which in Indonesia falls on every 12th of Rabiul Awal in the Hijri calendar. The celebration of the Prophet's birthday is a tradition that developed in Islamic society long after the Prophet Muhammad SAW died. This tradition is usually carried out in every rural area that still preserves the culture of customs that have existed since long ago. The activities of the Prophet's Maulid tradition are usually carried out once a year, on every birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. In this tradition there is a transcendental communication in the process of its activities, transcendental communication is communication with the "supernatural", including communication with God. Modern humans are called "God" or "Allah" or other names that match the meaning. Supernatural is openness to things that are good, positive and commendable (Hayat Padje 2008). This research uses qualitative research methods with ethnographic studies of communication. Therefore, the problems in this study are (1) How is the process of the Prophet's maulid tradition as a medium of transcendental communication in the community of Margagiri Village, Bojonegara District, Serang Regency (2) How is the meaning of the Prophet's maulid tradition in Margagiri Village, Bojonegara District. This research includes research (field research) by going directly to the field, engaging with the local community. From the results of this study it is stated that: With several processes and stages of each activity, of course, referring to the religious nature, this has directly occurred transcendental communication that has been carried out by the Maraggiri village community through the activities of the Prophet's maulid celebration, such as dhikr, praying together, bersholawat, and religious lectures which are carried out simultaneously or in congregation.

Perayaan Maulid Nabi merupakan tradisi yang berkembang di masyarakat Islam jauh setelah Nabi Muhammad SAW wafat tradisi ini biasa dilakukan di setiap daerah pedesaan yang masih melestarikan budaya adat istiadat yang sudah ada sejak dahulu.
