Abstract
Some schools in Serang City are still not optimal in accustoming students to think at a high level / Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS), especially in the implementation of learning evaluations, as evidenced by the test instruments or questions used still tend to emphasize students on low-level thinking skills, namely C1-C3. The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of validity of HOTS questions based on Four Tier Multiple Choice (4TMC) on the digestive system in humans and to analyze students' responses to HOTS questions based on Four Tier Multiple Choice (4TMC) on the digestive system in humans for junior high school students in grade VIII. The type of research carried out is in the form of research and development. The research was carried out using a 4D model which has 4 stages, namely, define, design, develop, and dessiminate. However, this study is limited to the develop stage, namely validity tests and small-scale trials in the form of student responses. The instruments used in this study include interview instruments, validation questionnaire instruments, and student response questionnaire instruments. The subjects in this study consist of media experts, evaluation experts, and science teachers, and the sample of this study is 30 junior high school students in grade VIII. The validity level of the Four Tier Multiple Choice (4TMC) based HOTS questions reached a percentage value of 95.06% with the category of "Very Valid" and obtained excellent student response results with a percentage score of 86.41% which belongs to the category of "Very Good, so that this test instrument or HOTS question based on Four Tier Multiple Choice of digestive system material in humans, can be a reference as a high-level thinking test instrument for human digestive system material.

Additional Information: | Beberapa sekolah di Kota Serang masih belum maksimal dalam membiasakan siswa untuk berpikir tingkat tinggi / Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) terutama dalam pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran, dibuktikan dengan instrumen tes atau soal yang digunakan masih cenderung menekankan siswa pada kemampuan berpikir tingkat rendah yaitu C1-C3. Tujuan dari penlitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat validitas soal HOTS berbasis Four Tier Multiple Choice (4TMC) materi sistem pencernaan pada manusia dan menganalis respon siswa terhadap soal HOTS berbasis Four Tier Multipe Choice (4TMC) materi sistem pencernaan pada manusia untuk siswa SMP kelas VIII. Jenis penelitian yang dilaksanakan berupa penelitian dan pengembangan (Reseacrh & Development). Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan model 4D yang memiliki 4 tahapan yaitu, define, design, develop, dan dessiminate. Akan tetapi, pada penelitian ini dibatasi hanya sampai pada tahap develop (pengembangan) yaitu uji kevalidan dan uji coba skala kecil berupa respon siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini antara lain instrumen wawancara, instrumen angket validasi, dan instrumen angket respon siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari ahli media, ahli evaluasi, dan ahli guru IPA, serta sampel penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa SMP kelas VIII. Tingkat validitas dari soal HOTS berbasis Four Tier Multipe Choice (4TMC) mencapai nilai persentase sebesar 95.06 % dengan kategori “Sangat Valid” dan mendapatkan hasil respon siswa yang sangat baik dengan nilai persentase 86.41 % yang termasuk kategori “Sangat Baik, sehingga instrumen tes atau soal HOTS berbasis Four Tier multiple Choice materi sistem pencernaan pada manusia ini, dapat menjadi referensi sebagai instrumen tes berpikir tingkat tinggi materi sistem pencernan pada manusia. | |||||||||
