Abstract
This research aims to determine the relationship between Self-Confidence and Speaking Ability in class XI students at SMAN 18 Kab. Tangerang. This research uses quantitative methods with correlational design. The population in this study were class XI students at SMAN 18 Kab. Tangerang and for the research sample used cluster sampling with a total sample of 69 samples. To ensure that the research instruments used were valid and reliable, researcher carried out validity and reliability tests. Hypothesis tests were carried out using the Pearson product moment formula to calculate the level of correlation between speaking ability and self-confidence of class XI students at SMAN 18 Kab. Tangerang. The results show that the significance value is lower than 0.05. in more detail 0.015<0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that Self-Confidence has a correlation with Speaking Ability in class XI students at SMAN 18 Kab. Tangerang.
