Abstract

This research aims to analyze the response of growth and production of lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa L.) to the composition of different planting media and the application of various concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer. The research was conducted from April to June 2024. The experimental design used in this study was Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the composition of planting media consisting of 4 levels, namely control (M0), soil + husk + goat manure fertilizer 1:1:1 (M1), soil + husk + goat manure fertilizer 2:1:1 (M2), and soil + husk + cow manure fertilizer 2:1:3 (M3). The second factor is the concentration of Nasa liquid organic fertilizer (P) consisting of 3 levels, namely 4 ml/l (P1), 6 ml/l (P2), and 8 ml/l (P3). The results showed that the treatment of planting media composition of soil + husk charcoal + cow dung fertilizer 2:1:3 gave the best effect on the parameters of the number of leaves, and leaf area, although not significantly different from the level of control. The concentration of Nasa liquid organic fertilizer 4 ml/l water gave the best effect on the parameters of plant height 42 HST, number of leaves 42 HST, leaf area, plant fresh weight, and plant economic weight. There is an interaction between the treatment of planting media composition and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer on the parameter of the number of leaves at the age of 14 HST.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis respons pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.) terhadap komposisi media tanam yang berbeda dan pemberian variasi konsentrasi pupuk organik cair. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April hingga Juni 2024. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah komposisi media tanam yang terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu kontrol (M0), tanah + sekam + pupuk kotoran kambing 1:1:1 (M1), tanah + sekam + pupuk kotoran kambing 2:1:1 (M2), dan tanah + sekam + pupuk kotoran sapi 2:1:3 (M3). Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Nasa (P) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf, yaitu 4 ml/l (P1), 6 ml/l (P2), dan 8 ml/l (P3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan komposisi media tanam tanah + arang sekam + pupuk kotoran sapi 2:1:3 memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap parameter jumlah daun, dan luas daun, meskipun tidak berbeda nyata dengan kontrol. Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Nasa 4 ml/l air memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada parameter tinggi tanaman 42 HST, jumlah daun 42 HST, luas daun, berat segar tanaman, dan berat ekonomi tanaman. Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan komposisi media tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair terhadap parameter jumlah daun umur 14 HST.
