Abstract

Writing short stories is a difficult skill that students have not yet mastered. As a result, many students are less interested in learning to write short stories well at school. The aim of this research is to describe the influence of digital comic-based media flipbook, the influence of serial image media, and differences in digital comic-based media flipbook and serial image media on the short story writing skills of class XI MAN 3 Tangerang students. This research uses an experimental research method with a research design pretest posttest control group design. The sampling technique used is technique simple random sampling with the selected class XI IPA 3 as the experimental class and class XI IPA 4 as the control class. The research data is in the form of student work sheets in writing short stories given in pretest and posttest. The research results show the influence of digital comic-based media flipbook by obtaining an average value pretest 45,40 and posttest 71,60. Then the influence of the radiant image media obtains an average pretest 43,20 and posttest 70.60. Assessment results posttest based digital comic media flipbook superior by showing a difference of 1 point. It can be concluded from these results that digital comic media is based flipbook with serial image media there is no significant difference in value.

Additional Information: Menulis cerpen merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang sulit dan masih belum dikuasai oleh siswa. Akibatnya banyak siswa yang kurang berminat dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen dengan baik di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh media komik digital berbasis flipbook, pengaruh media gambar berseri, dan perbedaan media komik digital berbasis flipbook dan media gambar berseri terhadap keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI MAN 3 Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest posttest control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu teknik simple random sampling dengan kelas terpilih kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data penelitian berupa lembar hasil kerja siswa dalam menulis cerpen yang diberikan pada pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya pengaruh media komik digital berbasis flipbook dengan memperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest 45,40 dan posttest 71,60. Kemudian pengaruh media gambar berseri memperoleh rata-rata pretest 43,20 dan posttest 70,60. Hasil penilaian posttest media komik digital berbasis flipbook dan gambar berseri menunjukkan adanya selisih 1 poin. Dapat disimpulkan dari hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media komik digital berbasis flipbook dengan media gambar berseri tidak memiliki perbedaan nilai yang signifikan.
