Abstract

Critical thinking skills can be improved through the learning process, such as in the learning process in history subjects. However seeing the fact that the learning process in history subjects has not become a means in the process of improving students’ critical thinking skills, especially at SMKN 1 Kab. Tangerang. So the purpose of this study, implementing the use of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by a virtual museum, is intended to determine whether-assisted learning model on improving students’ critical thinking skills in class XI at SMKN 1 Kab. Tangerang. This study uses the quasi eksperimental method to find out the answer to the stated research objectivies, through the use of a control class to avoid variabels that interfere with activities in the experimental class. The sample of this study was XI TKJ 3 as the experimental class and XI TKJ 2 as the control class. After conducting a study of the analysis of the research results, the results showed that there was an influence of the use of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by a virtual museum on improving the critical thinking skills of class XI students at SMKN 1 Kab. Tangerang. This is based on the results of the t-test calculation using Microsoft Excel. The t-count of 6,568 wa obtained, not equal to or greater than t-tabel value of 2,042 with a significance level of 5%.

Additional Information: Kemampuan berpikir kritis salah satunya dapat ditingkatkan melalui proses pembelajaran, seperti halnya pada proses pembelajaran dalam mata pelajaran sejarah. Namun, melihat fakta di lapangan, proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran sejarah belum menjadi sarana dalam proses peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa terutama di sekolah SMKN 1 Kab. Tangerang. Maka tujuan penelitian ini, menerapkan penggunaan model Problem Based Learning berbantu museum virtual, ditujukkan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat suatu pengaruh dari penggunaan model pembelajaran berbantu museum virtual terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas XI di SMKN 1 Kab. Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimental untuk mengetahui jawaban atas tujuan penelitian yang dikemukakan, melalui penggunaan kelas kontrol guna menghindari adanya variabel-variabel yang menganggu kegiatan pada kelas eksperimen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah XI TKJ 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI TKJ 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Setelah dilakukan kajian analisis hasil penelitian, hasil didapatkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari penggunaan model Problem Based Learning berbantu museum virtual terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI di SMKN 1 Kabupaten Tangerang. Hal tersebut didasarkan hasil perhitungan uji t melalui Microsoft Excel. Diperoleh thitung sebesaar 6,568 tidak sama atau lebih besar dari nilai ttabel sebesar 2.042 dengan taraf signifikat sebesar 5%.
