Abstract

This study investigated the effect of between the legs training on basketball dribble for 16-18 year olds. Using an experimental method with a one group pretest and posttest design, this researcher selected 30 athletes from a population of 115 people with purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used is the AAHPERD basketball control dribble test, with data analysis using the t test at a significant level of 5%. The results showed that the between the legs training method had a significant effect on improving basketball dribble, with the value of t count exceeding t table in the hypothesis. The results of the training programme have a significant effect on increasing athlete dribble. Overall, the increase in basketball dribble with the between the leg training method is 7%, indicating that this training method has equivalent benefits in improving basketball dribble techniques aged 16-18 years.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini menginvestigasi pengaruh latihan between the leg terhadap dribble bola basket usia 16-18 tahun. Menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest and posttest, peneliti ini memilih 30 atlet dari populasi 115 orang dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah AAHPERD basketball control dribble test, dengan analisis data menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode latihan between the leg memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan dribble bola basket, dengan nilai t hitung yang melebihi t tabel pada hipotesis. Hasil program latihan memberikan pengaruh peningkatan dribble atlet secara signifikan. Secara keseluruhan, peningkatan dribble bola basket dengan metode latihan between the leg adalah sebesar 7% menunjukan bahwa metode latihan ini memiliki manfaat yang setara dalam meningkatkan teknik dribble bola basket usia 16-18 tahun.
