Abstract

This research aimed to determine the Effect of Application of Type and Concentration of Organic Solution on Viability of Rice Seeds (Oryza sativa L.) Inpari IR Nutri Zinc Variety. This research was an experimental research conducted from December 2023 to January 2024 in the laboratory of the Centre for Monitoring and Certification of Seeds for Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantations, Serang, Banten. This research used a completely randomized design which consisted two factor and three replications. The first factor was the type of organic solution (L) which consisted of 2 levels, namely coconut water (L1), and mungbean sprouts extract (L2). The second factor was the concentration solution (K) which consisted of 5 levels, namely 10% (K1), 15% (K2), 20% (K3), 25% (K4), 30% (K5). The results showed the organic solution type treatment had an significant effect on the parameters of germination, growth uniformity, vigor index, percentage of normal, and abnormal sprouts. Meanwhile, the concentration of organic solution treatment had an significant effect on the parameters of vigor index. There was an interaction between the organic solution type and the concentration of organic solution on the parameters of germination, vigor index, percentage of normal, and abnormal sprouts. The best treatment was mungbean sprouts solution with a concentration of 25%.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Pemberian Jenis dan Konsentrasi Larutan Organik Terhadap Viabilitas Benih Padi (Oryza sativa L.) Varietas Inpari IR Nutri Zinc. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2023 sampai dengan Januari 2024 di laboratorium Balai Pengawasan dan Sertifikasi Benih Tanaman Pangan, Hortikultura dan Perkebunan, Serang, Banten. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah jenis larutan organik (L) yang terdiri dari 2 taraf, yaitu air kelapa (L1) dan ekstrak kecambah kacang hijau (L2). Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi larutan (K) yang terdiri dari 5 taraf, yaitu 10% (K1), 15% (K2), 20% (K3), 25% (K4), 30% (K5). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan jenis larutan organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter perkecambahan, keserempakan tumbuh, indeks vigor, persentase kecambah normal dan abnormal. Sedangkan perlakuan konsentrasi larutan organik berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter indeks vigor. Terdapat interaksi antara jenis larutan organik dan konsentrasi larutan organik terhadap parameter perkecambahan, indeks vigor, persentase kecambah normal dan abnormal. Perlakuan terbaik adalah larutan kecambah kacang hijau dengan konsentrasi 25%.
