Abstract
ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to determine cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) influence toward student’s communication skill on human growth and development subconcept. This research used quasi experiment method with randomized control group pretest posttest design. Population of this research was student’s of 8 th grade at SMP YP Fatahillah Cilegon academic year 2013/2014. The sample of this research was VIII C as a control class and VIII A as a experiment class. Sampling technique was a simple random sampling. Data was conducted by essay test, class discussion, student’s activity and implementation of learning model observation sheets. Based on t test result at α = 0,05, it can be concluded that cooperative learning model TSTS has influence to student’s communications skill on human growth and development subconcept. | Additional Information: | ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) terhadap kemampuan berkomunikasi siswa pada subkonsep pertumbuhan dan perkembangan manusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimen dengan desain randomized control group pretest posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP YP Fatahillah Cilegon tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel berupa simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes uraian, hasil diskusi kelas, lembar observasi siswa dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil uji t pada α = 0,05, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif TSTS berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berkomunikasi siswa pada subkonsep pertumbuhan dan perkembangan manusia.
