Abstract
The rice weevil (Sitophilus oryzae L.) is a pest that attack rice during storage which causes the rice to experience a decrease in capacity, nutrition, and commercial value. Lemongrass leaf flour (Cymbopogon citratus (DC.) Stapf.) contains essential oils which can suppress the growht of pests. This study aims to determine how many doses of lemongrass leaf flour vegetable pesticides have the best effect on the mortallity of the rice weevil. This research was carried out in the Laboratory of Basic Science and Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, and Ciujung City Housing, Block eight No. 32, Village of Kendayakan, District of Kragilan, Regency of Serang, Banten. This research was carried out from January to March 2023. This research method used a one-factor Completelty Randomized Design consisting of five treatments and five replications. The result showed that during the seven days after application observation, the concentration of lemongrass leaf flour that had the best effect was 6 g/50 g of rice with a percentage of total mortality of 52%. The best effect initial death of 7.2 hours, lethal time of 50% of 3.2 days, and mortality rate of 1.00 head/day.

Additional Information: | Kutu beras (Sitophilus oryzae L.) merupakan hama yang menyerang padi selama penyimpanan yang menyebabkan padi mengalami penurunan daya tampung, gizi, dan nilai komersial. Tepung daun serai (Cymbopogon citratus (DC.) Stapf.) mengandung minyak atsiri yang dapat menekan pertumbuhan hama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapa dosis pestisida nabati tepung daun serai yang memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap mortalitas kutu beras. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu Dasar dan Perlindungan Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Perumahan Ciujung City, Blok 8 No. 32, Kelurahan Kendayakan, Kecamatan Kragilan, Kabupaten Serang, Banten. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Maret 2023. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap satu faktor yang terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan lima kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama pengamatan tujuh hari setelah aplikasi, konsentrasi tepung daun serai yang memberikan pengaruh terbaik adalah 6 g/50 g beras dengan persentase mortalitas total sebesar 52%. Pengaruh terbaik adalah kematian awal 7,2 jam, waktu kematian 50% selama 3,2 hari, dan tingkat mortalitas 1,00 ekor/hari. | |||||||||
