Abstract
This research aims to describe the process of forming abbreviation types and the function of abbreviation types of acronyms as well as implementing Indonesian language learning in high school. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection used was skillful free-involved listening and note-taking techniques. The data collected is data from Instagram video posts on the @lokalprideindo account. The data findings produced in this research total 78 data on the formation process and its functions. Data on the process of forming abbreviations of acronym types can be detailed as follows: (1) retaining the last syllable of each component in 2 data, (2) retaining the first letter of each component in 8 data, (3) retaining the first syllable of each component in 6 data, (4 ) retention of the first two letters and first three letters of the second component totaling 5 data, (5) retention of letters and syllables that are difficult to formulate totaling 57 data. Furthermore, it contains abbreviation functions, namely 2 functions consisting of 2 phrase/name functions and 76 humor media functions.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembentukan abreviasi jenis dan fungsi abreviasi jenis akronim serta pengimplementasian pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik simak bebas libat cakap dan teknik catat. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data dari postingan video instagram pada akun @lokalprideindo. Temuan data yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini secara keseluruhan berjumlah 78 data proses pembentukan beserta fungsinya. Data proses pembentukan abreviasi jenis akronim dapat diperinci sebagai berikut: (1) pengekalan suku kata terakhir tiap komponen sebanyak 2 data, (2) pengekalan huruf pertama tiap komponen sebanyak 8 data, (3) pengekalan suku pertama tiap komponen sebanyak 6 data, (4) pengekalan dua huruf pertama dan tiga huruf pertama komponen kedua sebanyak 5 data, (5) pengekalan huruf dan suku kata yang sukar dirumuskan sebanyak 57 data. Selanjutnya yang mengandung fungsi abreviasi yaitu 2 fungsi terdiri dari fungsi frasa/nama sebanyak 2 data dan fungsi media humor sebanyak 76 fungsi. | |||||||||
