Abstract
Education is very important to prepare high quality human resources (HR) for state and nation development. The development of science and technology creates new challenges for the world of education. The current curriculum forces students to follow what is taught by teachers and what schools provide, not based on what students like and are interested in. This kind of education system has been abandoned by developed countries for a long time because it is not good for brain performance and talent interests. the student himself. The Ministry of Education and Culture, through the Serang City Education Office, introduced the Independent Curriculum which focuses on important material and character formation of the Pancasila Student Profile. The aim of this research is: "To find out the Communication Strategy of the Serang City Education Office in socializing the Independent Curriculum Implementation Program (case study of the independent learning program)". This research uses qualitative methods and is descriptive in nature. The results of this research show that: The Serang City Education Office has tried to carry out socialization as best as possible by adapting the language and culture in the city of Serang and has embraced various elements of the student workforce to participate in the success of curriculum renewal which has long been lagging behind other countries for the progress of education in Indonesia, especially in Serang City.

| Additional Information: | Pendidikan sangat penting untuk menyiapkan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang berkualitas tinggi untuk pembangunan negara dan bangsa. Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi menciptakan tantangan baru bagi dunia pendidikan. Kurkikulum yang ada saat ini memaksa pelajar untuk mengikuti apa yang diajarkan oleh guru dan yang sekolah berikan bukan berdasarkan apa yang pelajar sukai dan minati, sistem Pendidikan seperti ini sudah ditinggalkan oleh negara – negara maju sejak lama, karena itu tidak baik bagi kinerja otak dan minat bakat pelajar itu sendiri. Kemendikbudristek melalui Dinas Pendidikan Kota Serang Memperkenalkan Kurikulum Merdeka yang berpusat pada materi penting dan pembentukan karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah: “Untuk mengetahui Strategi Komunikasi Dinas Pendidikan Kota serang Dalam mensosialisasikan Program Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka (studi kasus pada program merdeka belajar)”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan sifatnya deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: Dinas Pendidikan Kota Serang telah berupaya melakukan sosialisasi sebaik mungkin dengan penyesuaian Bahasa dan budaya di kota serang dan telah merangkul berbagai elemen tenaga didik untuk ikut serta menyukseskan pembaruan kurikulum yang sudah lama tertinggal dengan negara lain untuk kemajuan Pendidikan di Indonesia terutama di Kota serang. | ||||||
