Abstract
The aim of this study is to (1) find out how the situation of children who quit school continuing education in alternatif schools in the city of South Tangerang (2) find out the strategy of alternatif school in helping children quit school to be able to continue education. The methods used in this research are case studies with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observations, interviews and documentation. The research data source consists of 21 informants from three alternatif schools in South Tangerang City. The results of the study showed that (1) the cause of the condition of children dropping out of school who continue education in the southern city of Tangerang is divided into two factors, namely internal and external factors. On the internal factors divided back into the factors of low interest in learning, the factor of low motivation for learning and the factor the presence of feelings of mistrust in the child. (2) The strategy carried out by alternatif schools to help school dropouts continue their education is divided into three, firstly by introducing the existence and purpose of the school through social media and socialization in person, secondly by presenting programmes aimed at improving the competence of pupils to supply after graduation from school and the third is by seeking donations and cooperation to continue to support the school operations so that they can continue to help the children dropout in South Tangerang City who want to continue education free of charge.

| Additional Information: | Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui bagaimana gambaran penyebab kondisi anak putus sekolah yang melanjutkan pendidikan di sekolah alternatif di kota Tangerang Selatan (2) mengetahui strategi dari sekolah alternatif dalam membantu anak putus sekolah untuk bisa melanjutkan pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sumber data penelitian ini terdiri dari 21 informan yang berasal dari tiga sekolah alternatif di Kota Tangerang Selatan. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) penyebab kondisi anak putus sekolah yang melanjutkan pendidikan di Kota Tangerang selatan terbagi menjadi dua faktor, yakni faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. pada faktor internal terbagi kembali menjadi faktor rendahnya minat belajar, faktor rendahnya motivasi untuk belajar dan faktor adanya perasaan tidak percaya diri pada anak. sedangkan untuk faktor eksternal terbagi menjadi, faktor ekonomi keluarga, faktor lingkungan pertemanan dan faktor latar belakang pendidikan orangtua. (2) Strategi yang dilakukan sekolah alternatif untuk membantu anak putus sekolah melanjutkan pendidikan terbagi menjadi tiga, pertama dengan memperkenalkan keberadaan serta tujuan sekolah melalui sosial media dan sosialisasi secara langsung, kedua dengan menghadirkan program - program yang bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi warga belajar untuk bekal setelah lulus dari sekolah dan yang ketiga adalah dengan mencari donasi serta kerja sama untuk terus menyokong operasional sekolah sehingga dapat terus membantu anak - anak putus sekolah di Kota Tangerang Selatan yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikannya secara bebas biaya. | |||||||||
