Abstract

The Cimake River is the flow of the Cibanten River which is located in Serang City. The upper reaches of this river have a lot of anthropogenic and fishing activities. Apart from that, there is also the Sindangheula Dam which stretches across this river. This is thought to be able to suppress water quality and affect the structure of fish communities. Therefore, research is needed to identify the community structure and fish habitat in the Cimake River. This research was conducted in June-July 2023. The sampling method used random sampling. Identification of fish types using Kottelat et al. (1993) book. Fish identification was carried out at the Fisheries Cultivation Laboratory, Fisheries Department, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. The results of this research found 13 species of fish, namely Rasbora argyrotaenia (161 fish), Puntius binotatus (13 fish), Barbonymus gonionotus (2 fish), Trichogaster trichopterus (29 fish), Hemirhamphodon pogonognathus (14 fish), Liposarcus pardalis (28 fish), Macrobrachium lanchesteri (136 fish), Macrobrachium rosenbergii (36 fish), Channa striata (1 fish), Oxyeleotris marmorata (5 fish), Oreochromis niloticus (15 fish), Nemacheilus chrysolaimos ( 2 fish), Macrognathus aculeatus (1 fish). Fish diversity in the Cimake River is relatively low, ranging between 0.384-0.654 (H' < 1). Based on the correlation coefficient, fish diversity and habitat in the Cimake river have a weak correlation with temperature, depth, river body width, current speed and pH.

Additional Information: Sungai Cimake merupakan aliran Sungai Cibanten yang terletak di Kota Serang. Hulu sungai ini banyak terdapat aktivitas antropogenik dan perikanan. Selain itu ada pula Bendungan Sindangheula yang membentang di seberang sungai ini. Hal ini diduga dapat menekan kualitas air dan mempengaruhi struktur komunitas ikan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi struktur komunitas dan habitat ikan di Sungai Cimake. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juni-Juli 2023. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan random sampling. Identifikasi jenis ikan menggunakan Kottelat et al. (1993) buku. Identifikasi ikan dilakukan di Laboratorium Budidaya Perikanan Jurusan Perikanan Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Keanekaragaman ikan di Sungai Cimake relatif rendah, berkisar antara 0,384-0,654 (H' < 1). Berdasarkan koefisien korelasi, keanekaragaman ikan dan habitat di sungai Cimake memiliki korelasi yang lemah terhadap suhu, kedalaman, lebar badan sungai, kecepatan arus dan pH.
