Abstract
The study aims to investigate the impact of different growth media and varying concentrations of the growth regulator BAP (Benzyl Amino Purine) on the in vitro growth of coconut embryos. The research will be conducted at the Laboratory of Physiology and Biotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Serang-Banten, from December 2023 to April 2024. The research will utilize a randomized complete block design, with two factors: the type of media (MS and Y3) and the BAP concentration (1 ppm, 1.5 ppm, and 2 ppm). There was an effect of the interaction of media type treatment (Y3) and the best BAP concentrations of 1 ppm and 1.5 ppm in 8 WAP explants of 1.33 cm and 1.39 cm and 12 WAP of 2.29 cm and 1.89 cm. The treatment of media Y3+1,5 ppm and 2 ppm BAP explants successfully plumule growth by 50%. There was browning on explants by 16%. Contaminated explants by 20%. The predominant colors of the coconut explants were green yellow, yellow, and strong yellow-green.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tanggap pertumbuhan embrio kelapa kopyor terhadap jenis media yang berbeda dan tingkat konsentrasi zat pengatur tumbuh BAP (Benzyl Amino Purine) terhadap pertumbuhan embrio kelapa kopyor secara In Vitro. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisiologi dan Bioteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Serang-Banten, mulai Desember 2023 hingga April 2024. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah jenis media yang terdiri dari 2 taraf,yaitu jenis media MS dan jenis media Y3. Faktor kedua yaitu konsentrasi BAP yang terdiri dari 3 taraf, yaitu 1 ppm, 1,5 ppm dan 2 ppm. Terdapat pengaruh interaksi perlakuan jenis media (Y3) dan konsentrasi BAP terbaik 1 ppm dan 1,5 ppm pada 8 eksplan MST 1,33 cm dan 1,39 cm dan 12 MST 2,29 cm dan 1,89 cm. Perlakuan media Y3+1,5 ppm dan 2 ppm BAP eksplan berhasil meningkatkan pertumbuhan sebesar 50%. Ada kecoklatan pada eksplan sebesar 16%. Eksplan yang terkontaminasi sebesar 20%. Warna dominan dari eksplant kelapa adalah hijau-kuning, kuning, dan kuning-hijau yang kuat. | |||||||||
