Abstract
Renewable Energy (EBT) is a source of energy that can be renewed continuously without damaging the environment. One of the potentials of renewable energy that can be utilized in the energy transition is to make a Wind Power Plant (PLTB). PLTB is a producer of electrical energy that requires wind energy as its energy source. One way to utilize the wind speed is to make a Savonius Type PLTB. The Savonius PLTB can move at low wind speeds and uses a simple wind turbine construction. The research method used is the experimental method of creating tool and tool testing to find data on the effect of wind on voltage, current, and electrical power on Savonius type wind turbines on the merak kecil island. In the no-load test, the highest wind speed received by the wind turbine of 4.8 m/s produced 0.848 W, while the lowest wind speed received by the wind turbine of 2.8 m/s produced 0.294 W. In the test with load, the highest wind speed received by the wind turbine at 5.1 m/s produces 0.418 W, while the lowest wind speed received by the wind turbine at 3.1 m/s produces 0.080 W.
