Abstract

This research is motivated by an increase in population that is not matched by the number of jobs, the sluggishness of the global economy and the COVID-19 outbreak which has an impact on the decline in employment. This study aims to analyze the effect of provincial minimum wage, economic growth rate, investment and business units on employment in the large and medium industrial sector from 2012 to 2021. The analysis method in this study uses the panel panel data method with the analysis model obtained is the Fixed Effect Model. Based on the results of the partial test research (t-test), it is known that the provincial minimum wage, investment and business units have a significant effect on the employment of the large and medium industrial sector, while the economic growth rate has no significant effect on the employment of the large and medium industrial sector. Based on the results of the simultaneous test (F-test) shows that the provincial minimum wage, economic growth rate, investment and business units simultaneously have a significant effect on the employment of the large and medium industrial sector.

Additional Information:	Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya peningkatan jumlah penduduk yang tidak imbangi dengan jumlah lapangan kerja, lesunya perekomian global dan adanya wabah COVID-19 yang berdampak pada penurunan jumlah penyerapan tenaga kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh upah minimum provinsi, laju pertumbuhan ekonomi, investasi dan unit usaha terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri besar dan sedang dari tahun 2012 sampai dengan tahun 2021. Metode analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode data panel dengan model analisis yang didapat adalah Fixed Effect Model. Berdasarkan hasil penelitain uji parsial (uji-t) diketahui upah minimum provinsi, investasi dan unit usaha berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri besar dan sedang, sedangkan laju pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri besar dan sedang. Berdasarkan hasil uji secara simultan (uji-F) menunjukkan bahwa upah minimum provinsi, laju pertumbuhan ekonomi, investasi dan unit usaha secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri besar dan sedang.
