Abstract
This research aims to compare students who use the linear method with student who use multiplication in order to improve multiplication calculation skills their grade IV at the Elementary School State Serang 09. This research used a class IV sample with 26 students in each class. The results of the research show that students who use the linear method can improve their numeracy skills compared to students who use the sequential multiplication method. The increase in the value of the ability the calculate multiplication is supported by hypothesis data obtained from the post-test between the experimental class and the control class with data obtained thitung of 2.10 and ttable of 2.06. And with the acquisition of N-Gain data in the experimental class of 0.56 compared to the control class which was only 0.41.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan peserta didik yang menggunakan metode garismatika dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan perkalian bersusun dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung perkalian kelas IV di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Serang 09. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel kelas IV dengan masing masing peserta didik pada tiap kelasnya sebanyak 26 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik yang menggunakan metode garismatika dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung dibanding peserta didik yang menggunakan metode perkalian bersusun. Peningkatan nilai kemampuan berhitung perkalian pada didukung oleh data hipotesis yang diperoleh dari post-test antar kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan perolehan data thitung sebesar 2,10 dan ttabel sebesar 2,06. Serta dengan adanya perolehan data N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,56 dibanding dengan kelas kontrol yang hanya sebesar 0,41 | |||||||||
