Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of organizational commitment on employee performance through organizational support and employee involvement as intervening variables at BPS Offices in Banten Province. The research method in this study used quantitative research methods with a population of 308 employees and a sample of 175 employees with the characteristics of PNS BPS employees in Banten Province. The data collection technique used a questionnaire in the form of a combination of closed answers on an interval scale of 1-10 and open questions using the jotform application and then processed using the SmartPLS 3.2.9 program. Pre-research results based on validity and reliability tests show that the data is valid and reliable. Based on direct and indirect hypothesis testing, it results that (1) Organizational commitment has a significant positive effect on employee performance with a sample value of 0.404 and a p value of 0.020. (2) Organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on organizational support with a sample value of 0.401 and a p value of 0.000. (3) Organizational commitment has a significant positive effect on employee involvement with a sample value of 0.554 and a p value of 0.000. (4) Organizational support has a significant positive effect on employee performance with a sample value of 0.369 and a p value of 0.000. (5) Employee involvement has a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance with a sample value of 0.075 and a p value of 0.660. (6) Organizational support has a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance. (7) Employee engagement does not mediate the relationship between organizational commitment to employee performance with a sample value of 0.042 and a p value of 0.709.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui dukungan organisasi dan keterlibatan pegawai sebagai variabel intervening di Kantor BPS se-Provinsi Banten. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan populasi 308 pegawai dan sampel 175 pegawai dengan karakteristik merupakan pegawai PNS BPS se-Provinsi Banten. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk kombinasi jawaban tertutup skala interval 1-10 serta pertanyaan terbuka dengan menggunakan aplikasi jotform kemudian diolah menggunakan program SmartPLS 3.2.9. Hasil pra penelitian berdasarkan uji validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan bahwa data sudah valid dan reliable. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis langsung dan tidak langsung menghasilkan bahwa (1) Komitmen organisasi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Kinerja pegawai dengan nilai sampel 0,404 dan p value 0,020. (2) Komitmen organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Dukungan organisasi dengan nilai sampel 0,401 dan p value 0,000. (3) Komitmen organisasi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Keterlibatan pegawai dengan nilai sampel 0,554 dan p value 0,000. (4) Dukungan organisasi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Kinerja pegawai dengan nilai sampel 0,369 dan p value 0,000. (5) Keterlibatan pegawai berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap Kinerja pegawai dengan nilai sampel 0,075 dan p value 0,660. (6) Dukungan organisasi memediasi hubungan antara Komitmen organisasi terhadap Kinerja pegawai dengan nilai sampel 0,148 dan p value 0,038. (7) Keterlibatan pegawai tidak memediasi hubungan antara Komitmen organisasi terhadap Kinerja pegawai dengan nilai sampel 0,042 dan p value 0,709.
