Abstract
The performance achieved by the Banten Province BKKBN Representative from 2018 to 2022 is in accordance with the indicators of decreasing unmet need for family planing, always below the set target. This research aims to determine the effect of optimizing workload and employee recruitment on employee performance and organizational commitment as intervening variables. The sample was 190 family planning instructors and the data was analyzed using SmartPLS. The results of this research show that the direct influence of optimizing workload and employee recruitment on performance has greater value when compared to the indirect influence or through the mediation of organizational commitment. This provides information that the organization as a work unit needs to focus efforts on direct aspects of optimizing workload and employee recruitment which have a direct impact on employee performance. However, it is still important not to ignore the role of organizational commitment because even though its influence is smaller, it still contributes to the results of improving employee performance, thereby focusing the organization on improving the process of planning, distributing and evaluating workloads to ensure employees can work effectively and efficiently as well as optimizing employee recruitment strategies. to ensure that employee selection is carried out appropriately in accordance with the needs of the organization.

Additional Information: | Kinerja yang telah dicapai Perwakilan BKKBN Provinsi Banten selama tahun 2018 sampai dengan tahun 2022 sesuai dengan indikator menurunnya kebutuhan ber- KB yang tidak terpenuhi (unmetneed), selalu berada dibawah target yang telah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh optimalisasi beban kerja dan rekrutmen pegawai terhadap kinerja pegawai dan komitmen organisasi sebagai variabel intervening. Sampel sebanyak 190 penyuluh KB dan data dianalisa dengan menggunakan SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengaruh langsung dari optimalisasi beban kerja dan rekrutmen pegawai terhadap kinerja memiliki nilai lebih besar jika dibandingkan dengan pengaruh tidak langsung atau melalui mediasi komitmen organisasi. Hal ini memberikan informasi bahwa organisasi selaku unit kerja perlu memfokuskan upaya pada aspek-aspek langsung dari optimalisasi beban kerja dan rekrutmen pegawai yang berdampak langsung pada kinerja pegawai. Namun tetap penting untuk tidak mengabaikan peran komitmen organisasi karena meskipun pengaruhnya lebih kecil tetap berkontribusi pada hasil peningkatan kinerja pegawai, dengan demikian fokus organisasi pada meningkatkan proses perencanaan, distribusi dan evaluasi beban kerja untuk memastikan pegawai dapat bekerja secara efektif dan efisien serta mengoptimalkan strategi rekrutmen pegawai untuk memastikan bahwa pemilihan pegawai terlaksana secara tepat sesuai dengan kebutuhan organisasi. | |||||||||
