Abstract

This research aims to identify the impact of using the problem-based learning model on students' cognitive learning outcomes on the topic of climate change in seventh-grade students. This study employs a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The problem-based learning model is used as the independent variable, while students' cognitive learning outcomes are the dependent variable. The population of this study includes all seventh-grade students at MTsN 1 Leibak. The research sample involves one class, namely class VI , which is divided into two groups: VII Astudents as the experimental class and VII Bstudents as the control class. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and observation sheets. Data were analyzed using a t-test (paired sample t-test) to test the hypothesis. The results of the t-test showed a significance value of 0.001, indicating a significant difference in students' cognitive learning outcomes with the application of the problem-based learning model at MTsN 1 Leibak, seventh grade, on the topic of climate change.

Peineilitian ini meinggunakan meitodei kuasi eikspeirimein yang meineirapkan deisain peineilitian preiteist postteist control group deisign. Modeil probleim baseid leiarning dijadikan variabeil beibas, seidangkan hasil beilajar kognitif siswa seibagai variabeil teirikat. Populasi peineilitian ini meincakup seiluruh siswa keilas VII MTsN 1 Leibak. Sampeil peineilitian meilibatkan satu keilas, yaitu keilas VII, yang dibagi meinjadi dua keilas VII A seibagai keilas eikspeirimein dan VII B seibagai keilas kontrol. Teiknik peingambilan sampeil dilakukan deingan simplei random sampling. Peingumpulan data dilakukan meilalui leimbar soal dan leimbar obseirvasi. Data dianalisis meinggunakan uji t (paireid samplei t-teist) untuk meinguji hipoteisis. Hasil uji t meinunjukkan nilai signifikansi seibeisar 0,001, yang meingindikasikan adanya peirbeidaan signifikan pada hasil beilajar kognitif siswa deingan peineirapan modeil peimbeilajaran probleim baseid leiarning di MTsN 1 Leibak, keilas VII, pada mateiri peirubahan iklim.
