Abstract

The implementation of school culture as an effort in character formation for students at SMA Negeri 5 Cilegon aims to describe the implementation of school culture among students and to depict various efforts in shaping student character resulting from the implementation of school culture at SMA Negeri 5 Cilegon. This research adopts a constructivist worldview approach, employing ethnographic strategy and behavioral observation methods. The study aims to describe the implementation of school culture and various efforts in character formation as a result of implementing school culture among students at SMA Negeri 5 Cilegon. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involves data collection techniques, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that the implementation of school culture is successful and smooth due to the cooperation among teachers, students, and school stakeholders. The school culture is consistently implemented every Tuesday to Friday in the field, prayer rooms, or classrooms, adjusted according to weather conditions. The school culture collaborates with organizations such as Rohis (Islamic Student Association), literacy programs, and environmental programs (adiwiyata), which are responsible for maintaining the daily school culture. Character formation through school culture is guided by Talcott Parsons' AGIL theory: adaptation, goal attainment, integration, and pattern maintenance. Character formation occurs through teachers' understanding, habituation, and exemplification, resulting in students achieving the school's vision of character development. Through the implementation of school culture, students' characters align with the Pancasila student profile: faithful and pious towards God Almighty, possessing noble character, embracing global diversity, engaging in cooperation, being independent, possessing critical thinking skills, and being creative.

Additional Information: Implementasi budaya sekolah sebagai Upaya pembentukan karakter pada siswa di SMA Negeri 5 Cilegon memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi budaya sekolah pada siswa dan untuk mendeskripsikan berbagai upaya pembentukan karakter siswa sebagai hasil dari implementasi budaya sekolah pada siswa di SMA Negeri 5 Cilegon. Penelitian ini Pendekatan pandangan dunia kontruktivis, dengan strategi etnografis, dan metode observasi perilaku. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan budaya sekolah dalam mendeskripsikan berbagai upaya pembentukan karakter siswa sebagai hasil implementasi budaya sekolah pada siswa di SMA Negeri 5 Cilegon. Adapun Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan Analisis data menggunakan Teknik pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa implementasi budaya sekolah berjalan dengan baik dan lancar karena Kerjasama yang terjalin antara guru, siswa-siswi dan stalkholder sekolah. Implementasi budaya sekolah konsisten dilakukan setiap hari selasa sampai hari jum’at di lapangan, musholah atau pun kelas dikondisikan sesuai dengan cuaca. Budaya sekolah berkolaborasi dengan organisasi Rohis, Literasi dan ma dding, serta adiwiyata sebagai penanggung jawab berjalannya budaya sekolah setiap harinya. Upaya pembentukan karakter melalui budaya sekolah yaitu dengan teori AGIL dari Talcott Persons yaitu adaptasi (Adaptation), pencapaian tujuan (Goal Attainment), integrasi (Integration), dan pemeliharaan pola (Latency). Pembentukan karakter melalui pemahaman, pembiasaan dan keteladanan guru sehingga pembentukan karakter siswa tercapai sesuai dengan Visi sekolah. Melalui implementasi budaya sekolah membentuk karakter siswa yang sesuai dengan profil pelajar Pancasila yaitu beriman, bertaqwa kepada tuhan YME, berakhlak mulia, berkebinekaan global, bergotong royong, mandiri, dan bernalar kritis, serta kratif.
