Abstract
The young generation in Banten Province is very fond of motocross. Behind its popularity, there are many important issues that need to be studied more deeply, such as safety issues and athlete career prospects. This study aims to determine how communication in the family of motocross athletes in Banten Province can support their achievements and prestige. This research uses a qualitative approach based on the constructivist paradigm, with observation, interview, and documentation methods. This research focuses on understanding communication patterns that can cause tension as well as analyzing harmonious, open, and transparent communication patterns in athletes' families. By using the theory of Relational Dialectics as an analytical knife, this study can focus on complex communication phenomena in the context of the family. This theory allows for a more in-depth analysis of the dynamics of communication between family members. In addition, this study examines family interactions and future planning for motocross athletes. This aspect provides a more comprehensive picture of the lives of motocross athletes, not only in terms of sport but also in terms of the emotional and structural support they receive from their families. This study provides a clear and useful picture for families in Banten Province who want to include their children in motocross sports to achieve achievements and prestige. The results of the study show that communication in athletes' families is persuasive, dialogical, and non-transactional. The father's desire to gain prestige from his son was not proven. Fathers as communicators play a key role in determining and selecting their children as communicators to be included in the motocross championship carefully, according to the dominant talent.

| Additional Information: | Generasi muda di Provinsi Banten sangat menyukai olahraga motocross. Di balik popularitasnya, terdapat sejumlah masalah penting yang perlu diteliti lebih dalam, seperti masalah keamanan dan prospek karir atlet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana komunikasi dalam keluarga atlet motocross di Provinsi Banten dapat mendukung pencapaian prestasi dan prestise mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang didasarkan pada paradigma konstruktivis, dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pemahaman pola komunikasi yang dapat memunculkan ketegangan serta menganalisis pola komunikasi yang harmonis, terbuka, dan transparan dalam keluarga atlet. Dengan menggunakan teori Dialektika Relasional sebagai pisau analisis, penelitian ini mampu memusatkan perhatian pada fenomena komunikasi yang kompleks dalam konteks keluarga. Teori ini memungkinkan analisis yang lebih baik mengenai dinamika komunikasi antar anggota keluarga. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengkaji interaksi keluarga, serta perencanaan masa depan para atlet motocross. Aspek tersebut memberikan gambaran yang lebih komprehensif tentang kehidupan atlet motocross, tidak hanya dari segi olahraga, tetapi juga dari segi dukungan emosional dan struktural yang diterima dari keluarga mereka. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran yang jelas dan bermanfaat bagi keluarga di Provinsi Banten yang ingin mengikutsertakan anaknya dalam olahraga motocross untuk meraih prestasi dan prestise. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi dalam keluarga atlet bersifat persuasif, dialogis, dan non-transaksional. Keinginan ayah untuk mendapatkan prestise dari anaknya tidak terbukti. Ayah sebagai kominikator memainkan peran kunci dalam menentukan dan memilih anaknya sebagai komunikan yang akan diikutsertakan dalam kejuaraan motocross dengan cermat, sesuai dengan talenta yang dominan. | |||||||||
