Abstract

Labirin; The Board Game is a board game product developed by Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University which is available in conventional and digital forms. In this game, there is a game method using a math maze board that can facilitate students to learn and practice compiling mathematical equations, especially in arithmetic material. In training numeracy skills, the current Labyrinth; The Board Game has not been able to fulfill all indicators in numeracy skills. For this reason, the researcher intends to develop the workings of the Labyrinth; The Board Game accompanied by a new game board design that can fulfill the indicators in numeracy skills. The research method used in this study follows the Borg & Gall development procedure with some modifications so that there are seven stages in the development procedure. These seven stages include 1) Needs analysis, 2) researcher ability analysis, 3) product design, 4) product development concept, 5) product development, 6) expert test, 7) product test. Data collection from the limited scale test was carried out at SMP Negeri 10 Serang City involving 32 students of class VIIIE. Based on the results of the expert feasibility test, the assessment results obtained were 93.33% from learning media experts and 90.97% assessment results from learning material experts. This shows that Labirin; The Board Game is classified as very good based on the results of the feasibility test of learning media experts and learning materials. From the results of the limited scale test, the average result of filling out questionnaires by students was 91.94% which was classified as very good, and from the observation results showed that students gave a positive response and were very interested when playing. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that Labirin; The Board Game is classified as a good board game-based learning media to be used by students in practicing numeracy skills.

Additional Information: Labirin; The Board Game merupakan produk permainan bergenre papan yang dikembangkan oleh Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa yang tersedia dalam bentuk konvensional dan bentuk digital. Dalam permainan ini, terdapat metode permainan menggunakan papan labirin matematika yang dapat memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk belajar serta berlatih menyusun persamaan matematika, terutama pada materi aritmatika. Dalam melatih kemampuan numerasi, cara kerja permainan Labirin; The Board Game saat ini belum mampu memenuhi seluruh indikator dalam kemampuan numerasi. Untuk itu, peneliti bermaksud untuk mengembangkan cara kerja dari permainan Labirin; The Board Game disertai dengan desain papan permainan baru yang dapat memenuhi indikator dalam kemampuan numerasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengikuti prosedur pengembangan Borg & Gall dengan beberapa modifikasi sehingga terdapat tujuh tahapan dalam prosedur pengembangannya. Tujuh tahapan ini meliputi 1) Analisis kebutuhan, 2) analisis kemampuan peneliti, 3) desain produk, 4) konsep pengembangan produk, 5) pengembangan produk, 6) uji ahli, 7) uji produk. Pengambilan data dari uji skala terbatas dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 10 Kota Serang dengan melibatkan 32 orang siswa kelas VIIIE. Berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan ahli, diperoleh hasil penilaian sebesar 93,33% dari ahli media pembelajaran dan 90,97% hasil penilaian dari ahli materi pembelajaran. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Labirin; The Board Game terklasifikasi sangat baik berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan ahli media pembelajaran dan materi pembelajaran. Dari hasil uji skala terbatas diperoleh hasil rata-rata pengisian angket oleh siswa sebesar 91,94% yang terklasifikasi sangat baik, serta dari hasil observasi menunjukan bahwa siswa memberikan respon yang positif dan sangat tertarik ketika bermain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Labirin; The Board Game terklasifikasi sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis permainan papan yang baik untuk digunakan oleh siswa dalam melatih kemampuan numerasi.
