Abstract
The Basic Telecommunications Laboratory is a crucial component in telecommunications education. In an effort to provide innovative and alternative approaches to practical learning, this research aims to develop a Virtual Reality (VR) application that can simulate a basic telecommunications laboratory, allowing students to conduct practicals virtually. The application is developed using Unity and Meta Quest 2, featuring interactive elements that enable users to interact with telecommunications equipment in a virtual environment. The design methodology used in this research is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Performance testing of the application is conducted based on stability and graphic quality aspects. Additionally, the application's reliability is tested using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and Virtual Reality Usability Evaluation (VRUSE) methods. The test results show that this VR application has good usability with an SUS score of 76.83, and the majority of respondents expressed satisfaction with the user experience. The application created has a high level of reliability from various aspects and is capable of effectively simulating basic telecommunications practicals.

Dalam upaya memberikan inovasi dan alternatif baru untuk pembelajaran praktik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi Virtual Reality (VR) yang dapat menyimulasikan laboratorium dasar telekomunikasi, sehingga mahasiswa dapat melakukan praktikum secara virtual. Aplikasi ini dikembangkan menggunakan Unity dan Meta Quest 2, dengan fitur-fitur interaktif yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk berinteraksi dengan peralatan telekomunikasi dalam lingkungan virtual. Metode perancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Pengujian performa aplikasi dilakukan berdasarkan aspek kestabilan dan kualitas grafis. Selain itu, uji keandalan aplikasi dilakukan dengan metode System Usability Scale (SUS) dan Virtual Reality Usability Evaluation (VRUSE). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi VR ini memiliki tingkat usability yang baik dengan skor SUS sebesar 76,83 dan mayoritas responden menyatakan puas dengan pengalaman penggunaannya. Aplikasi yang dibuat memiliki tingkat keandalan yang tinggi dari berbagai aspek dan mampu secara efektif menyimulasikan praktikum dasar telekomunikasi. | |||||||||
